Reference: Raye Kimberlin To Whom It May Concern: It is without hesitation I write this letter to support Raye Kimberlin for a position with your company.

I am having the pleasure of working with Ms. Kimberlin on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Coalition of Lebanon. In that role, she has taken on many responsibilities both in a leadership capacity and as a worker, following the directions of others. As a leader, she guides the committee work charged with enhancing volunteer work throughout Lebanon and Warren County Ohio. She has been instrumental in designing and implementing strategies to get-the-word-out. She works in a leadership capacity organizing the Annual MLK, Jr. Day Celebration, recruiting participants, and collaborating with others to ensure the events of the day run smoothly. Additionally, her ideas and perspective have been instrumental in launching a new initiative within Lebanon, the MLK Community Homework Club. It is without question that any success the Coalition experiences, is credited at least in part to Ms. Kimberlin’s hard work and dedication.

In addition to her work for the Coalition, she works with the Lebanon Police Department coordinating and organizing community events such as the Lebanon Night Out Against Crime and the internet safety training for parents, the Lebanon Junior High School Drama Club, and the Child Advocacy Center of Warren County. Raye is a diligent worker whose commitment to making a difference in her community and the world must be admired and should be duplicated by all.

This is a letter of recommendation for Raye Kimberlin whom I had the pleasure of working with for close to two years. I was a member of the management team that hired Raye as the Promotions Director for Radio-One Cincinnati. I can sum up her work ethic and organizational skills in one word - Impressive!

During the course of her tenure at Radio-One Cincinnati, Raye’s responsibilities increased and she accepted the challenge without hesitation. I watched her become our web coordinator growing her skills to include maintaining the listeners’ database, revenue generating ideas and daily content updates for the website.

Raye was a valuable member of the management team, developing very competent promotions staff with guidance and mentoring. She contributed to the success of our stations with creative suggestions for on air and web based promotions.

Raye also served as a legal liaison and established a street level marketing plan along with an extensive promotional calendar.

Raye Kimberlin would be a great addition to your staff I highly recommend her.

Raye and I worked for Blue Chip Broadcasting which later became Radio-One Columbus, OH together for six years. During her tenure as Director of Promotions/Marketing, I have to respect Raye as a person of professionalism that was focused on results.

Being a senior member on the Programming staff for Radio-One gave me many opportunities to work closely in executing many of her projects and initiatives.

Raye is simply a winner. She motivates and holds her staff accountable for always bringing their best efforts to the table.

She's the best I've ever worked with in the 24 years I spent in this business at building a strategic plan for success from the ground-up, and then execute it with her team flawlessly.

As I look back at those years, I can only now appreciate the gift we had in this individual Raye Kimberlin during our successful run in Columbus, OH. Of all the wonderful and exciting work I’ve executed with her (and there were many), the one that will stand out for a long time is how creativity was on display as she managed to secured high profile media sponsorships with Columbus Jazz & Ribfest for Radio-One in 2000. This was a significant accomplishment for our stations and our Company at that time.

I remembered the written reports from the Columbus Chambers of Commerce that year after the event raving about the record number of people that turned out for the event that year, and they credited it to our media sponsorship for their success.

August 17, 2006 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is intended to give the highest recommendation possible to Ms. Raye Kimberlin. Raye joined The City Mission staff team in January 2006 and will be greatly missed.

Raye has worked hard to assist our department in the development of an annual communication plan. She has used her professional expertise and community connections to mobilize resources to benefit our organization.

Through her diligence and determination Raye has drafted and begun implementation of a comprehensive communication plan for our nonprofit that will provide benefits for years to come.

Her willingness to “think outside of the box” and pursue new and interesting ideas has been incredibly helpful to me. She is a self-starter who can birth an idea, create a sensible structure to implement, and then see it through to completion. Her skills in this area are an incredible asset.

Raye has proven to be a faithful, dependable and capable team member. She is punctual, focused and able to work well with others. I have seen her interact with a variety of people in many different social and professional situations. In all regards she conducts herself in a manner that is honorable and pleasing to our organization and me as her direct supervisor.
