project overview Problem: • Very limited in design and function. • Security was an issue as we experienced hacks and spam issues. • Administrative privileges were held by web designer and we had no control of design. Solution: • Obtained quotes and selected web developer/hosting company. • Provided website architecture, navigation, fresh content, inspiration, and best practices to web developer. • Collaborated with all departments to develop more compelling content and better function. • Trained with new web developer on CMS software. • Designed several pages including the library, Alumni, Board of Trustees, Friends for Payne, Payne Ambassadors, and Visit Payne page. • Developed forms and landing pages. • Managed SEO, keywords and optimization for the site and each individual page. • Submitted the site to faculty, staff and board for QC and review prior to launch. Results: • Responsive website that reacts to whether the viewer is using a desk top, tablet and mobile device. This improves the functionality on a variety of internet browsers, tablet devices, and smart phones. • Security improvements to avoid hacks and spam issue. • Administrative privileges are internal which allows for more internal control and flexibility. • Use of WordPress, plug-ins and content management system to help with website maintenance.

website performance Overall payne.edu is performing in the optimal grade area for best-in-class webpages (70 and above). Mobile responsiveness and SEO are our strength areas with 100%. Two areas in need of improvement are page speed and security. This will be challenging due to the nature of our site being used for higher education. It is heavy in content and has a high number of pages. The security certificate is being corrected by our web developer which should authenticate our SSL certificates and increase our website grade by 10 points. We currently do not sell or accept donations directly through our site but through 3rd party websites which do have SSL certificates in place (Raiserâ€™s Edge and Zazzle.com).

competitor analysis Payne.edu is in line with many of the top seminaries such as United Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary and Chicago Theological Seminary. We are also leading the historically black seminaries as well. Company Name
