Yavapai County Supervisors Welcome

A Big Local Welcome

Welcome from the entire Yavapai County Board of Supervisors. We hope you enjoy the World’s Oldest Rodeo® .

A group of Prescott merchants and professional businessmen organized the first formalized “cowboy tournament” in 1888. The earlier editions of Prescott’s rodeo were most appealing to the local cowboys and ranchers as it gave them a chance to bring their ranch-bred skills to town for people to see. The western lifestyle has been the envy of people all over the world and is still alive and well today.

We want to thank everyone for coming to Yavapai County to enjoy the Prescott Frontier Days® celebrations. Also, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the volunteers, participants, and spectators of this awesome event.

We hope you enjoy your time in beautiful Yavapai County.
