The Club has a very exciting schedule planned for women's golf this summer and can't wait to get more ladies participating .

Iconic Golf Apparel

Iconic Sport Inc. was founded in 2005 by Leslie Chow, a longtime avid golfer and lifetime multi-sport athlete. Having lived through and benefited from the tremendous progress in performance-enhancing design and the improved style of sports apparel for biking, running, yoga, fitness and other outdoor activities, it was a mystery why women’s golf apparel had not shown similar advances in design, use of improved materials or more sophisticated style. Since this was also a mystery to all of her women golfing friends and acquaintances, who also were looking for a better fashion sense, improved fit and performance in their golfwear. Kathleen Heiney will be introducing Yoga Fit FORE Golf at the Kick Off party and we couldn't be happier to have her help us start off the 2016 season. To start Ladies Opening Day off on the right note, a pre-round Yoga Fit FORE Golf session will be compliments of The Club at Ravenna, the class for the 18 holers is from 8:008:45am and the class for the 9 holers from 9:00-9:45am. The Yoga Fit FORE Golf will be conducting three follow-up classes on Ladies Wednesday afternoon 9 & Wines. These classes will be $20 per person. We can't think of a better, more relaxing place for a yoga session than in the sun on our beautiful golf course. We look forward to seeing you, please join in the fun!

Ladies Kick Off Party To start 2016 off right, we are having a social event Wednesday, May 4th from 6:00-7:30pm for all the ladies whether you are an experienced player or a novice that has never touched a golf club. There will be sipping, socializing, shopping, and more sipping, so it will be super fun.

The "Kick Off Party "will feature a trunk show with womens clothing, shoes, and accessories by the amazing Iconic, Nivo and SanSoleil. Everything featured will be available for special order.

The Club at Ravenna wants to create a warm welcoming evironment for all its members, and build a first class womens program. This party is a great opportunity to have some fun and meet fellow female members of all golfing abilities.

We are thrilled to be starting the summer off with a bang, lets make the Kick Off Party "Iconic".

Schedule of Events Ladies 18 Hole

May 18......... Yoga Fit FORE Golf Session: 7:30-8:15am ($20 person) 2-Person est Ball - Both players play their own ball. The best score of the two ladies will be used as the team’s score for each hole.

May 25......... Yoga Fit FORE Golf Session: 7:30-8:15am ($20 person) Throw-Outs - Each player throws out the worst 3 holes on their scorecard. Handicaps will be reduced by 3 for every player.

June 1........... Yoga Fit FORE Golf Session: 7:30-8:15am ($20 person) 2-Person Team Combined Par 3s - Each player will add up their scores on the par 3s and this will make up the team total.

June 8........... No play this day, CWGA Four-Ball Mashie Champ June 15......... Team event based on sign up* June 22......... Blind Holes - (Individual) After all players tee off the first hole, 9 holes are drawn randomly to count as the players score. The players will not know which holes are drawn until they have completed all 18 holes.

July 6............ Team event based on sign up* July 13.......... Putts Only (Individual) - Each player will only record putts per hole. Remember: putting from the fringe is not counted as a putt.

July 20.......... Net Stroke Play (Individual) - Play your own ball and subtract handicap.

July 27.......... 2-Person Blind Draw - Partners are drawn randomly after the round. Count 1 best ball of 2.

August 3....... Ladies' One Day Invite - See page 30 August 10..... Proximities* - Random closest to the pin, long drive, closest on 2nd shot, etc., will be placed on the course.

August 24..... Net Stroke Play (Individual) - Play your own ball and subtract your handicap.

August 31..... Putts Only (Individual) - Each player will only record putts per hole. Remember: putting from the fringe is not counted as a putt. Only putts from which the ball rests on the green are to be counted.

September 14 2-Person Team Combined Par 3s - Each player will add up their scores on the par 3’s and this will make up the team total.

SIGN-UP

Players may sign up in the Golf Shop or online at www.ravennagolf.com through the ForeTees system starting April 5. The deadline to sign up for this event is May 9. This will be a paired event; pairing requests will not be honored.

FORMAT

The format will be a team scramble. Each player will tee off from the teeing ground. The team will choose the best drive and all players will play from that spot. This process is repeated until the ball is holed. Once the best shot is chosen, you may play lift, clean, and place within one club length, no closer to the hole. You may NOT improve your position on the golf course. For example, from rough to fairway or fringe to green. If the chosen ball is in a bunker, players may rake the area after each shot and play from the nearest point where the first ball first came to rest. Remember, if you miss a putt, and your team still has another chance to make it, do not tap it in or that score will count.
