Create a Terrarium in May!

Paint Creek Center for the Arts

Paint Creek: Make Your Own TerrariumCreate a one-of-a-kind glass terrarium with your choice of succulent plants, stones, moss, dirt, and other items to make it uniquely your own. Learn about the necessary supplies and tools needed to design a thriving and beautiful mini succulent garden. All supplies are included with your registration. Whether you have a green thumb or not, this workshop is perfect for you! These gardens are easy to tend for and will continue to grow and develop for months and years to come. Location: RARA Fee: $40 per person

RARA Earth Day 5K Fun Run

Join us to celebrate Earth Day at the 14th Annual MI Earth Dayfest April 26-28, 2019. The 5K is a scenic loop route through municipal park and the neighboring subdivision. All ages are welcome and the route is friendly for pets and strollers. The race will be chip timed and have awards for each age division along with raffle give-a-ways from our sponsors. Participation awards include, race tech shirts, medallions, and a seedling tree for you to plant. Location: Rochester Municipal Park Pine Street Fee: $30 Adults

Father’s Day Sports Fun

Join RARA in having a fun father and child or grandfather and child day of sports and pizza for Father’s day! There will be games of soccer, bean bag toss, Dodgeball, and more. The program will end with pizza and pop. Location: RARA Fee: $15 per couple

43rd Annual Greater Rochester Open Tennis Tourney The GRO Adult Tourney July 24-27 and Youth Tourney July 29-30, is a community tennis tournament for players of all skills and ages. We have divisions for every age group and multiple doubles formats for players to enjoy some friendly competition. Awards for 1st place and runner up in each division. Tournament shirts available for all participants. Tourney Shirts for $10 Location: Rochester Municipal Tennis Courts Fee: Singles, $15

Inspire your young artist this summer!

NEW—Coloring Contest

Showcase your artistic ability by participating in a coloring contest through RARA Recreation! One contest will be held this summer, with a prize for the first place winners of each age group! Winners will also have their pictures posted on our Facebook page and in our next brochure! Stop by RARA or visit our website to receive the blank template to be colored. Use crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers to complete your creation at home—creations will be judged on uniqueness and creativity! Then, mail complete creations to RARA or drop off at RARA Main Office. Be sure that your child’s full name and age is written neatly on the back of the submission. Winners will be notified by August 12th. Fee: $1 Registration through RARA must be completed for each submission. If you are not registered for this contest, you will not be eligible to win, as we will have no means to contact you.
