OUTLETS

MINIMUM RADIUS INDICATOR
The Rapidrop 75mm Minimum Radius Indicator (MRI) is an essential tool for Flexible sprinkler connections. This indicator clearly displays the minimum bend radius allowed, ensuring proper installation and compliance with safety standards.
By providing a visual cue, the indicator simplifies the inspection process, confirming that the Flexible connection meets LPCB requirements. Plus, it’s made from self-extinguishing materials for added safety and durability.

INSTALLATION
Requirements for Flexible Connectors
1. Installation Standards
• Flexible sprinkler hoses must be installed by appropriately qualified personnel, adhering to the requirements of the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Installations shall comply with the supplier’s instructions and must not exceed any limitations specified in the product certification listing.
2. Application Guidelines
• Flexible connectors are to be used exclusively in wet pipe installations within buildings and protected from freezing temperatures.
• The total number of 90° bends must not exceed the allowable value specified in the product certification listing
• Appropriate connector lengths must be selected; pipe bending to reduce the effective length of the Flexible connector is not permitted.
• Flexible connectors may only connect a single sprinkler to a distribution pipe.
3. Orientation and Configuration
• For distribution pipe outlets on the top of the pipe, the Flexible connector must follow a 180° arc before descending vertically toward the sprinkler.
• For other outlet locations, the Flexible connector may run horizontally or be inclined towards the sprinkler termination point.
4. Bend Radius
• The bend radius of Flexible connectors must meet or exceed the specified minimum radius in the product certification listing.
• Bends greater than 45° require the installation of a minimum radius indicator.
5. Replacement and Accessibility
• Damaged or kinked Flexible connectors must be replaced immediately.
• Flexible connectors are only permissible in accessible locations where third-party inspections can be conducted.
