Passionate anglers, with more than 100 years of experience in the manufacturing and marketing of fish hooks, we are committed to keeping on innovating to offer you constantly improved fish catching quality products while developing them in a more and more sustainable way. Being socially and environmentally responsible has always been at the heart of the VMC project. This is self-explanatory when we project the life of our factory over several centuries.

Our planet is beautiful and rich in natural resources including rivers, lakes, seas and oceans. This environment is under pressure from all sides and deteriorating. We fishermen, wardens of our aquatic environments, are aware of this. To meet this challenge, VMC is committed to limiting its impact on the planet and to support responsible fishermen who preserve our environment.

We work every day to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. We substitute harmful products with greener alternatives. We are reducing our water consumption and our industrial waste. We have developed eco-responsible packaging. We always want to do better than the standards that are imposed on us as a manufacturer in the European Union. We also collaborate as much as possible with local companies for our various projects.

Our social commitment is just as important. We are proud of the average seniority of our employees, which is almost 15 years, and of having many employees whose families have contributed to the development of our factory for several generations, thus testifying to their attachment to the industrial adventure of VMC. This is the strength and expertise of VMC.

SPARK POINT®

Developed exclusively by VMC® for ultimate performance hooks. A premium point hardened by forming, followed by chemical sharpening ensures permanent hook sharpness. Front and back reinforcement ribs guarantee the point’s rigidity. Energy channels increase the speed of penetration and optimise the point’s driving force upon striking.

NEEDLE CONE

The result of a sharpening technique that gathers the metal fibers and squeezes them toward the center of the point. By compressing rather than cutting, VMC® has created a point equal or superior in sharpness to the best available and incredibly stronger.

VMC ® STEEL |

Carbon stabilizes iron during temperature changes. The higher the level of carbon, the stronger the steel. VMC® uses premium-quality high carbon steel to give a thinner hook the highest quality point and durability.

CONE CUT®

The point that combines sharpness, structural stability and quality thanks to a conical tip, a triangular crest and a barb so fine that it assures, without force, a clean and perfect penetration beyond the barb.

CUTE POINT

The traditional hook point with excellent penetration capacity. This standard hook point is the most widely manufactured in the world. All VMC® hooks beginning with the number “9” have a standard Cut Point, unless otherwise indicated.

DYNACUT™

Developed for Big Game Fishing The geometry of the Dynacut point allows the hook to easily penetrate the hardest part of the jaw of Big Game species such as marlin, shark and giant tuna, instantly providing a perfect setting of the hook for a safe and clean fight.

VMC® Vanadium® hooks owe their success to their lightness allied with their incredible resistance : up to 25 % increased strength. VMC® Vanadium® steel is perfect for any finesse-style hooks that require instant penetration.

Reserved for special professional and premium sport hook series, stainless steel is perfect for deep sea fishing, salmon and big fish. Ultimate corrosion resistance requiring no further coating.

An optimum level of corrosion resistance exists for each individual fishing application. You can depend on VMC® coatings to preserve the unique sharpness, strength, shape and finish of our hooks for as long as you need them to last. The wide range of VMC® coatings offers an efficient solution adapted to every fishing condition.

These coloured hooks receive a thin layer of unique varnish that covers the hook without affecting the sharpness of its point. The varnish creates a shield on Hi-Carbon and Vanadium® steel by covering the entire hook surface.When fishing in freshwater, these VMC® coatings will preserve hook sharpness, strength and appearance to the highest possible level.

Tin and Tin Red coatings are highly recommended for all saltwater fishing applications, particularly those involving intense friction such as trolling or when in direct contact with stainless steel.
