Food And Diet Guide!
G
ood diet and nutrition can enhance sporting performance. Carbohydrates should form the basis of the sportsperson’s diet. For most athletes, a varied healthy diet will provide vitamins and minerals, as well as protein, to promote growth and repair of muscle tissues. Adequate fluid intake is essential to help performance and prevent dehydration.
10 healthy lifestyle tips 1. Food is Fun… Enjoy your food 2. Breakfast is a very important meal 3. Eat lots of different foods every day, variety is the recipe for health 4. Which group would you tip for the top? Base your food on carbohydrates 5. Gimme five! Eat fruits and vegetables with each meal and as tasty snacks! 6. Fat facts. Too much fat is not good for your health 7. Snack attack! Eat regularly and choose a variety of snacks 8. Quench your thirst. Drink plenty of liquids 9. Care for those teeth! Brush your teeth at least twice a day 10. Get moving! Be active every day
The basic training diet should be sufficient to: provide enough energy and nutrients to meet the demands of training and exercise enhance adaptation and recovery between training sessions include a wide variety of foods like wholegrain breads and cereals, vegetables (particularly leafy green varieties), fruit, lean meat and lowfat dairy products to enhance long term nutrition habits and behaviours enable the athlete to achieve optimal body weight and body fat levels for performance provide adequate fluids to ensure maximum hydration before, during and after exercise promote the short and long-term health of athletes.
Carbohydrates and exercise During digestion, all carbohydrates are broken down into sugar (glucose), which is the body’s primary energy source. Glucose can be converted into glycogen and stored in the liver and muscle tissue. It can then be used as a key energy source during exercise to fuel exercising muscle tissue and other body systems. Athletes can increase their stores of glycogen by regularly eating high-carbohydrate foods. If carbohydrate in the diet is restricted, a person’s ability to exercise is compromised because there is not enough glycogen kept in storage to fuel the body. This can result in a loss of protein (muscle) tissue, because the body will start to break down muscle tissue to meet its energy needs, and may increase the risk of infections and illness.
Things to remember
G
ood nutrition can enhance sporting performance. A well-planned, nutritious diet should meet most of an athlete’s vitamin and mineral needs, and provide enough protein to promote muscle growth and repair. Foods rich in unrefined carbohydrates, like wholegrain breads and cereals, should form the basis of the diet. Water is a great choice of fluid for athletes to help performance and prevent dehydration.

NOTHING TOO MUCH
This is the story of twin sisters of Margaret and Pamela Davis whose passion for books, royalty and helping the less fortunate became a life time courier. The twin sisters whose purpose in life was helping others. For this reason we have decided to interview these two remarkable and selfless English ladies.
TO ASK,
AND NOTHING TOO IMPOSSIBLE

W
e are sitting in the small kitchen at rear of this century old house in the suburb of Ealing and we are pleased to be given the opportunity to speak to these two magnificent senior citizens who soon will be celebrating their 86th birthday on the 16th of May 2014.
Elitte1:
Can you please tell us how old you are and where were you born?
M&P:
We were born on the 16th of May 1929 right in this house in Ealing. In those days most families gave birth at home. We are 85 years old.
Elitte1:
Tell us a little about your parents please.
M&P:
our father was the chief clerk at Great Western Railway, stationed at Hayes. His name was Alfred Nelson Davis but everyone referred to him as
Nelson and my mother was a housewife. Her name was Agnes and everyone referred to her as Nessie. She was very much interested in books and she loved to play piano. My mother went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in pursuit of a courier in acting but she later met my father and she never pursued her dream. My paternal parents were from Bristol. My great grandfather and his family from my father side came originally from France. They became refugees after the French revolution of 1799. My grandfather and his family were from North Leach in Gloucestershire. My grandfather until he was in his 30s was involved in music but his father who was an expert in gold mines and used to travel to China a lot, later bought him a coal business.
That business later became one of the biggest in the country. My maternal parents were from Kidderminster. Her great grandfather was a wicker from Kidderminster. He always wanted to be a lawyer but he could not and later he became a wicker. My parents moved from Bristol to London and purchased this house in 1908. They moved to London so we could have better education in the capital. Off course we were not born yet.
Elitte1:
Tell us a little about your childhood and growing up in Ealing.
M&P:
We were very happy like any other child. In those days there was a tennis court at the back of our house where we could hear the sounds of tennis rackets. There was also a chapel very
near to this house where we could hear the singing in the chapel. We were playing mostly with a girl more or less of our age who was our next door neighbour.
Elitte1:
Tell us a little about your educational background and also tell us about your working couriers please.
Ma r g a re t :
We both went to Ealing and Notting Hill School which was the girl’s establishment. The school was very close to us but it was very fair and the educational system was very good. This school was considered to be one of the best in the country. Our teachers were dedicated as well as been very well educated. They treated us very fairly. We were given a lot of homework at the school. We both enjoyed going to school so have fond memories of our school years. We both became librarians. I, Margaret worked for the Brentford and Chiswick borough Council. Later I worked at Chiswick Polytechnic before moving to Yeading Library near Hays.
Elitte1:
How about you Pamela?
Pamela
After leaving school I started working for Southall, Acton and Ealing Libraries before working for the Greenford Library.
Eli tte 1 :
Did you get married?
M & P:
No we did not. We never met anyone suitable to get married to. We were very much involved with social work, helping others who were less fortunate in life and we were very much interested in research and publications.
Elitte1:
How did you become interested in Monarchy?
M& P:
we were just interest in monarchy and the principles of kingship. Our parents were monarchists because they believed it worked well for Britain. Queen Victoria was a great influence on her subjects. We studied monarchy and later setup a small publishing group and dedicated our lives to further the monarchist cause. We also became very much involved and interested in studying and researching the monarchies and the royal families abroad.
Elitte1:
Who were your favourite monarchs?
M& P:
Queen Elizabeth the second, King Leopold the third of the Belgians, King Peter of Yugoslavia and the late Shah of Iran. These kings did their work well for their people. King Peter of Yugoslavia stood with his people at a very difficult time. All of these monarchs and in particulars the late Shah of Iran dedicated their lives to serve their country. It was a great tragedy that some Iranians did not understand what the Shah achieved for Iran until it was too late and it was more tragic that we in Britain and America let him down the way we did in his time of need. We are also very sorry for the way we in this country let down the king Leopold the III during the World War II.
Elitte1:
Tell us about your publications. As we understand you have done much research on the royal families of the world and have published a lot of your researches in booklets. Can you please name some of your publications please?
M &P :
We have published booklets and literatures about various monarchs. These include King Nicholas II of Russia and his successor. King Simeon II of Bulgaria, King Leopold III of the Belgians, king Frances Joseph II of Austria, Otto of Austria, Royal Yugoslav dynasty, the Yamani kings and king Rishad of Tunisia. We also have published the monarchist book review 1967-1968. Also amongst our publications was “Monarchy” a bibliography of theories of kingship and a book review on the late Shah of Iran in 1979.
El i tte1 :
We also understand that you have done a lot research on the king Leopold the Third of the Belgians. We understand that alongside and after the Lord Keyes who passed away nearly a decade ago you Margaret are the only remaining expert on the life of the late King Leopold III and the Belgian monarchy. Can you please tell us a little more?
M &P :
We were very much interested in monarchy and we set up a small research and study group calling it the Monarchist Press Association. This country and there were much prejudice against him during the war. We felt that it was our duty to set the records right.
El i tte1 :
Tell us how you got involved with refugees and what you managed to achieve for them?
M &P :
We had a friend who was very much interested in the Serbia-Croats language and culture. We than through our contacts identified a group of Serbian exiles in London. Amongst them was a former captain of the former Yugoslav army. His Name was Captain Demaniac Urosevic. We helped the exiled Serbian community to setup their monthly publications.
After the Captain passed away in early 70’s, he left us his mid terraced home in north Kensington with instruction to setup an Eastern European research and study group. We managed to set up the Eastern European research study group and we named it after him now known as the UROSEVIC FOUNDATION. We were the trustee of that charitable organisation until 2005.
E litte1:
Have you been involved in any other social activities?
M& P:
Apart from helping refugees from the Eastern Europe we have helped the Iranians who fled Iran since the late Shah of Iran was overthrown in 1979. We also worked in local level with the environmentalists to preserve the beauties of our community. We have also been involved in helping the local community in different ways. And until recently we were also involved with the police and we managed to setup our local neighbourhood watch scheme.
E litte1:
Thank you very much for inviting us to your home. Thank you so much for giving your time and speaking to us. We wish you a very healthy and prosperous life.

My Experience with the Elitte Modelling Agency
Last Friday I had a pleasure
to work with a multitalented Designer,Mary Zomo Couture. It was her new collection of the wedding and evening dresses the design of which was so
unusual that made them phenomenal. The event was like a fairy-tale with a bride for one day, It is a beautiful thing just to see the wedding gowns in all their splendour of all shapes and incredible materials and fabric, to touch them and what’s more, to put them on. I felt very special being a bride myself that one incredible day. A bridal gown had a sense of awe, there was grace and romance about it. It’ is an every girl’s dream to wear a breathtaking gorgeous white dress. My dream came true. During the session I had the great designer Mary allocated to help me with changing between each bridal gown performance. Without that help it would have

been more difficult to prepare for the shooting . Mary Zomo Couture’s stunning design is everything I would want in a bridal gown. The first presentation was a fairy-tale princess’s dress, strapless with a long tail and with hand-made details. The second one was an evening style. A classic ball gown bottom skirt with so much layered tulle made you look and feel like Cinderella. It woudn’t be fair if I didn’t say about the make-up artist Natalie who did her best creating her magic in such a waythat I felt flawless. It was an exceptional feeling and the photos turned out the extraordinary shot by wonderful Max, a talented photographer. Angelina Kali
Vin Diesel Croons Up A Storm On “Stay With Me” Cover: Watch Here! He’ll do anything for his loyal fans, so when Vin Diesel received a request to sing a cover of Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me,” he was all over it. The “Fast & Furious” hunk was busy promoting “Guardians of the Galaxy” at Capital FM in London when he ended up singing on the mic. Smith, who happened to hear it, took to his Twitter account to express his excitement over having Diesel cover his hit. Sam tweeted, “Vin Diesel just covered Stay With Me. Surreal. Thanks man haha… First of all I thought it was going to be good, but when I heard it it’s the most hilarious thing I’ve heard in my life. It’s amazing. Brilliant. The falsetto!
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt: Love Letter Pen Pals As two of the most in-demand actors in the world, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt often have to be apart while working on their respective projects. And while the “Changeling” chick was busy filming “Unbroken” in Australia, the “Fight Club” stud made sure he sent her a supply of love letters to keep her going. Jolie told Us Magazine, “He was supporting from a distance. It was quite romantic in a way. We decided to be of that time when we could imagine he was in the European theater and I was in the Pacific theater. We wrote handwritten letters to each other that were very connecting for us, thinking of the people that were separated for months if not years at a time back then.” Angelina also discussed the recent death of Louis Zamparini and the good fortune that he got to see the flick before he passed away. “I brought him the film on my laptop in the hospital. It was amazing seeing someone at the end of their life watching their life unfold again, at the same time their body was shutting down.”

Charlize Theron And Sean Penn Engaged? The rumor mill is certainly a buzz as multiple outlets claim that Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are taking their relationship to the next level. A source told press that the couple of seven months wants “to get married very soon. [They] always intended to have another child.” Earlier this week, the Oscar-winning actress stepped out at LAX International Airport rocking a pretty big diamond her left finger, leading plenty to speculate an engagement. Theron spoke of the relationship to Vogue last month and said, “It just kind of naturally happened, and before I knew it, I was in something that was
making my life better—the people who really love me can see the effect it has had on me.” If the rumors are true, this will be the first marriage for Charlize and the third for Penn.

Lady Gaga: Fringed Beauty In NYC Always one to show off her fashion prowess, Lady Gaga stepped out in quite the getup . How to Keep Your Marriage Strong 1. Maintain Your Friendship It’s easier to be friends than lovers. And those who start as friends make the best lovers. Friendship provides deep roots from which a healthy marriage can grow strong. Each component to your friendship is like a string— and each one ties the two of you together and holds you close. Along with attraction, you share similar interests, hobbies, passions and beliefs that keep you connected. But you also will have many differences, and you must work to maintain the friendship aspect in your marriage by seeing those differences as opportunities to learn, experience, and get to know one another even more. My husband and I love spending time together and experiencing things with one another. We consider the other as our best friend. We don’t let our marriage cover over our friendship—it only accentuates it. 2. Remember to Laugh When I met John, I thought he was the funniest man alive. Now I know better, but the truth of the matter is he keeps me laughing and makes me smile. We have so much fun together, and some of our most intimate memories involve us laughing until there are tears streaming down our faces. There is a time and place in marriage for tears of frustration, anger and sadness, but there should also be a time for tears of joy. Make that a priority in your marriage. 3. Confess to Each Other As hard as it is, John and I are getting really good at saying sorry. But we’ve evolved. We don’t just say sorry anymore, because the word “sorry” doesn’t always hold much meaning. We have learned to confess to one another, to take ownership and responsibility of our sins, flaws and weaknesses, and to apologize specifically for how we have hurt each other. As humbling as this can be, confession can bring an intimacy that is far greater than any prideful “rightness” could ever bring. Learn to confess to one another, and then to forgive one another.
4. Regularly Express Affection Affection is usually the norm for at least the first few years of marriage. But a few years (and maybe a few children) later, the “honeymoon” stage wears off and affection can fall by the wayside. When affection is no longer the “norm,” it’s something you must MAKE a priority. Even when you’re tired and overwhelmed, expressing affection is an action and reaction to one another that involves being deliberate and choosing to make time for intimacy, romance and quality time. It’s a part of marriage that you and your spouse have to learn to integrate into your day to day, rather than just saving it for special date nights. 5. Stop to Intentionally Connect With so many opportunities to “connect” throughout the day via Facebook, emails, text messages and interactions with others, sometimes our need for real life connections is depleted by the time we get face-to-face with our spouse at the end of the day. John and I do our best to save our connecting for one another: to save our favorite stories of the day with each other, to call and text each other throughout the day, and to always save the last few minutes before bed as our time to emotionally connect.

Things Healthy Couples Don’t Do
1. Post Negatively About Each Other on Social Media 12-year-olds post negatively about their boyfriends or girlfriends on social media. It's a catty way to get attention and vent, when the emotionally healthy response is to talk your grievances over with your spouse when the time is right. Don't fall into the trap of getting others on your side, on social media or otherwise, because healthy marriages only have one side. 2. Make Their Career a Priority Rather Than Their Relationship Yes, career is important. But as you are being pulled in every direction imaginable, something will get less attention, less time. Something in your life will have to be sacrificed. Your goal is to make sure that “something” isn’t your relationship. You can always find another job, but you only have one chance to make it work with the love of your life. 3. Have All Their ‘Together-Time’ With Technology Of course there will be plenty of times that you’re together and using technology, but healthy couples know how to put down their phones and computers and turn off the TV to spend quality time together. Healthy couples don’t check Twitter on dinner dates. My husband and I have a rule that we put our phones upstairs each night after work so our dinner or together-time is not interrupted. 4. Avoid Hard Subjects Relationships are about intimacy. If you can’t talk about the hard subjects, then your intimacy factor is off. There are seasons of marriage that are easy, and other seasons where you must make difficult decisions together. Nothing should be offlimits between the two of you, and conversations should always be approached with an abundance of grace and kindness.
5. Punish One Another Punishing one another often comes out in the silent treatment or withholding sex or affection. Healthy couples know when it’s good to take a break from a disagreement, but also know how to come back together and find a resolution. 6. Withhold Forgiveness Relationships run on forgiveness. You can’t have a healthy relationship without abundant forgiveness. The best relationships forgive quickly and frequently. Living with another person will always bring conflict and hurt feelings; the trick is knowing how to handle it. Forgive, and ask for forgiveness. 7. Say ‘Yes’ to Everything Healthy couples have good boundaries—with family, with friends and with each other. If I’ve had a long week at work and my husband asks me to rally and go out with friends on Friday, whose fault is it if I get mad at him on the way home because I didn’t want to go in the first place? Mine. Healthy couples know their limits, know how to ask for help, and understand that “no” is a complete sentence. 8. Throw In the Towel Healthy couples don’t give up when things are hard, even when things are really hard. If your spouse is important to you, you can get through this. Quitting is never an option for healthy couples.
Football: The new Religion By M.Sarabi
M
illiards of people living all over the world have different religions and practises. These people either are fanatics or disregardful towards their religions. However, the majority of these milliards of people share one public and international passion in common and this is Football. Football, the green square miracle, today gathers together more people than most of the Churches, Mosques, Synagogues and Temples and in a way, the religion of Football has lots of fans and followers.
Because Football in modern day after victory, gives people and Countries pride, credit, honour and glory. The followers of the Football religion reach mystical, emotion and spiritual enlightenment taking them to highest peak of pride. Football is not a simple or common sport. Football stadiums are better known than all the Churches, Temples, Mosques and Synagogues.
The number of people who go to support their teams cannot be compared to the Religious places of worship. Football, like a religion, has its own Prophets who the people worship and adore. People see their national fables in the faces of their Football Champions and favourite players. In the past, National Pride was found in War and killing people and the victorious countries found their glory and pride by taking over other countries and massacring the people.
Even in Crusades, individuals, when captured by their opponents, were given the choice between death and changing their religion. However, in Football and in its attractive world, there isn’t a sight or mention of killing. Those who lose are forgotten but Winners are written in history. Football is the most important invention of the last two centuries by humans in the world and it can be called the most practiced religion by humans.
Morbidly obese woman transforms her life AFTER DOC’S DEADLY WARNING
NOW THEN
Theresa Borawski lost her massive weight through sheer willpower
Theresa tipped the scales at an astounding 428 pounds
REAL LIFE
A
T a scale-crushing 428 pounds, Theresa Borawski was literally encased in a wall of fat that left her in constant pain, barely able to walk and unable to care for herself. By February 2011, she was near the end of her rope and told her doctor she couldn’t live much longer in such agony. His stark reply: “I think you ought to be less concerned about living like this, and more concerned with just living.” Those frightening words, she says, “really hit home and got me thinking that if he couldn’t do anything for me I’d better do something for myself. I decided that I no longer wanted to live a life of pain, sadness and immobility.” AT THAT INSTANT, THE 5-foot-8 college counselor began an incredible twoyear journey that took her from 428 pounds to 153 – and she did it using sheer willpower. The 50-year-old Michigan woman admits she came from a food-loving
family and has always battled the bulge, but by 2003, she was reaching a crisis point. She lost a job she loved, her beloved grandfather and a dear friend both died, and she was suffering from the pain of rheumatoid arthritis. Theresa filled the voids in her life with food. Before long, she reached 400 pounds and was dependent on a motorized wheelchair to get around. But the scary warning from her doctor finally jolted her into action. She poured all the sugary sodas she had stockpiled down the drain, then dumped the contents of the sugar bowl in the trash. “From that point on, I never looked back,” she says. Theresa ruled out trying fad diets or weightloss surgery. “I didn’t follow any specific diet plan, but rather

focused on calories,” she explains. “I began to limit my intake to around 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day. I ate
three meals and a snack, and started drinking a large amount of water with sugarfree flavor packets.” By Labor Day 2011, Theresa had lost 100 pounds and was able to walk a few steps at a time without assistance. She dropped another 58 by Christmas – her best present of all. In November 2012, the determined dieter began going to a gym and using a treadmill, and by the following March, she had dropped 14 sizes and a staggering 275 pounds. “I am a completely new
person,” she declares. “I feel like I am living life for the first time. My health has improved dramatically. I love being able to wear fashionable, form-fitting clothes and heels.” THERESA’S SINGLE MOST important tip for all dieters is: Believe in yourself and don’t give up. As a reminder of her own determination, her unused motorized wheelchair sits in her office. Stuck to it is a sign: “Theresa doesn’t live here anymore.”

LETS GO SHOPPING!
FASHION TRENDS EMBELLISHMENT still holds us in its thrall, enriching our wardrobes both day and night. Elegant for evening or playful with matching shorts for summer days, never has there been a more attractive incentive to hit the gym than this summer's diverse offering of crop tops.
LIMITED EDITION SILVER LACE BRALET Price: £38.00
LIMITED EDITION METALLIC LACE PENCIL SKIRT Price: £95.00
Here some ideas how to wear it and where to buy ! Now, we may not have the designer budget, or somewhere fancy to wear it to, but that doesn't mean we still can't dip our toe in the embellishment fashion trend, can we?! That said, there's no reason why you can't wear an embellished top with a pair of jeans to dress it down, or add some leather pants if you want to add a sexy touch. If it's on the loose fitting side, add a tube skirt to give your look some shape.
The absolute rule: Matching Top and Bottom
Crop tops have been so popular this summer and so have matching separates so use both of these and get a matching crop top to match your bottoms. I think my favorite matching separates are a crop top and a long pencil skirt. It looks so sophisticated because you are not showing too much skin with your crop top yet enough to make you feel sexy. It is easy to get carried away with showing too much skin while wearing a crop top so make sure you balance it out well.
