On b e h a lf o f th e Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society it is nny privilege to welcom e you this evening to the Gaiety Theatre, or perhaps on this occasion it w ould be appropriate fo r me to say "m azeltov", which is an old Jewish form o f greeting. "M a z e lto v " is a w ord you will be hearing many times this evening with the Society's production o f Fiddler on the Roof. The R&R presented the Irish premiere o f this w onderful musical here at the Gaiety in 1972, fo llo w e d by furth e r productions in 1988 and 1998. 'Fid d le r', as it is affectionately known, is a far cry from the early 'musicals' musical comedies - w ith their flimsy plots and unreal characters. It is easy to un de rsta n d th e p o p u la rity o f 'F id d le r' w ith its timeless storyline o f life am ong a d o w n tro d d e n people eking o u t a living in A natevka, a Russian village at the beginning o f the 20th cen tu ry and th e d iffic u lty o f brin g in g up a fam ily in changing times and changing values. So, thank you fo r join in g us this evening. I hope you will enjoy our 2006 prod u ctio n o f 'Fiddler'.

THE COMPOSERS JOSEPH STEIN Joseph Stein started his career in television and was one o f a noted g ro u p o f writers on Your Show o f Shows and The Sid Caesar Show. His first w ork fo r the the atre was as co-author o f Plain A n d Fancy, th e h it nnusical a b o u t the adventures o f a pair o f sophisticated New Yorkers living am ong the Am ish in Pennsylvania, His next show was Mr. W onderful, starring Sammy Davis, Jr. He created the lib re tto fo r the Bock and Harnick musical The Body Beautiful. His n ext librettos w ere fo r Take M e A long, based on Eugene O 'N e ill's Ah, W ilderness.;and Juno, w ith score by Marc Blitzstein. He then w rote the adaptation fo r the hit stage com edy Enter Laughing. F idd le r on th e Roof was his n ext show, fo r which he won th e Tony as well as th e Drama C ritics' Circle Award. He was also no m in a te d fo r a Tony fo r his n ext show, Zorba, with score by Kander and Ebb. His o th e r productions include King o f Hearts, Irene, Rags (for which he also was nom inated fo r a Tony), and The Baker's W ife, which was p ro d u ce d in London and was no m in a te d fo r th e Laurence O livier Award. Mr. Stein is also th e author o f th e screenplays fo r Enter Laughing and Fiddler on the Roof.

JERRY BOCK Jerry Bock was born in N ew Haven, C o n n ecticu t on N o ve m b e r 23rd, 1928. That was his firs t o u t-o f-to w n tryou t. T hirty years later, he and Sheldon Harnick gave birth to THE BODY BEAUTIFUL in Philadelphia. That was his fo u rth o u t-o f-tow n try o u t. In betw een was CATCH A STAR, a fle e tin g revue tha t, according to critic W alter Kerr, posed th e question; "W h a t d o you call som ething b e tw een a flo p and a smash?" Kerr's answer? " A flash". Next, Jule Styne and Tommy Valano m id w ifed Bock, Larry H o lofcener and G e o rg e Weiss in to b irth in g MR. W ONDERFUL starring Sammy Davis Jr. The title song and "Too Close For C o m fo rt" are still active o ff springs. Bock and Harnick's celebrated collaboration yielded five scores in seven years. In a d d ition t o the 1989 silver anniversary p ro d u c tio n o f FIDDLER (from which a m ajor e xce rp t was featured in JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY), a highly esteem ed revival o f THE ROTHSCHILDS e n joyed a successful run off-B roadw ay th e fo llo w in g year. Since then, Bock and Harnick were trip ly honored by being inducted in to the T heater Hall o f Fame, receiving th e Johnny M ercer Award fro m the Songw riters Hall o f Fame and the S pirit o f Am erican Creativity Aw ard from th e Foundation fo r a Creative Am erica. But the "a w a rd " th a t Bock holds near and dear is the honorary D o cto r o f Hum ane Letters degree from th e University o f Wisconsin. It was there th a t he m et his w ife Patti, and it was there th a t he decided to be a composer. Mr. Bock is a m em ber o f a num ber o f professional g uilds and associations, am ong which th e BMI Foundation, Inc. is a m em bership he relishes. As fo r Patti, his wife, G eorge, th e ir son and Portia, th e ir daughter, Bock confesses they are his longest running hit.

He has been very successful at th e W a terford International Festival o f Light O pera w inning the 'Best Professional D irector A w a rd ' seven tim es w ith Mac/c & Mabel, Chicago, Cabaret, Barnum,Chess and the Irish o f prem iere o f Evita fo r A rthur's Team. He also d ire cte d th e premieres o f A Slice o f Saturday N ig h t and the w o rld prem ieres o f Rebecca Storm's H o lly w o o d Ladies and Brian O 'Reilly's Buskin' at the Tivoli Theatre. In June 2004 Noel was invited to dire ct The Importance o f Being Earnest at the O scar W ild e 150th C elebrations in Portora, Enniskillen. Theatre in Education Credits: Devised and dire cted Learning Through The A rts In Breaking The Cycle Schools fo r th e D e p a rtm e n t o f Education in 2001. He also devised w ith Joe O 'D o n n e ll the award-winning m elodram a, The Hands o f D o o m fo r th e Food Safety P rom otion Board in 2004. In June 2005 he devised and d ire cted St. Michael's House 50th Anniversary p ro d u c tio n Let's Celebrate in The Helix involving a cast o f 400 students with intellectual disability. N oel recently produced and d ire cte d H onk! in The Helix, with a cast o f 350 children fro m 15 prim ary schools in the Dublin Docklands area. MARINA KEALY - Choreographer Marina has been involved w ith dance fro m an early age. She has p erfo rm e d in all th e m ajor theatres, professional cabaret and on national television. Marina's w ork has been w id e and varied. Having danced in num erous John Player Tops o f the Town finals, she was d e lig h te d w hen th e show she ch o reo grap h ed reached th e national final and was broadcast live by RTE. O th e r successes include, Godspell, Chess, Guys a nd Dolls, Jo sep h a nd the A m a zing Technicolor Dreamcoat, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, W onderful Town and many dance w orkshops th ro u g h o u t the country. Marina's w o rk received a nom ination fro m AIMS fo r Grease and won Best C h o re o g ra p h e r A w ard fro m b o th AIMS and th e Bangor Festival fo r her w o rk in M e and M y Girl. F ollow ing this Marina was asked to co -choreograph the professional p ro d u c tio n o f M e and M y Girl at the O lympia Theatre. M arina has a long association w ith th e R&R. Firstly as a dancer, and p e rfo rm e r in the role o f Liat in South Pacific. She successfully c h o reo grap h ed the R&R p ro du ction s o f The Pirates o f Penzance, th e R&R 90th B irthday Celebration, M y Fair Lady, The Yeomen o f the Guard and Gigi. She also ch ore o g ra p h e d the M e rry W i d o w f o r Glasnevin Musical S ociety last year. Marina is d e lig h te d to continue her association w ith the R&R as C h o re o g ra p h e r and w o uld like to wish th e m every success b o th now and in th e future.

GEAROID GRANT - Musical Director Gearoid G rant was born in Dublin and g ra du ate d w ith a B.Mus d egree from University C ollege Dublin. Since then he has co m b ine d a freelance career as co n d u c to r w ith a career in music education. He has conducted all th e principal orchestras in Ireland, the National Symphony Orchestra, the RTE C o nce rt O rchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, the Irish C ham ber O rchestra and th e National Youth Orchestra o f Ireland. G earoid devised and continues to present and c o n d u c t the acclaimed series Music in the Classroom which introduces music to 30,000 Irish children annually, w ith perform ances at th e National C oncert Hall in Dublin and in m ajor venues around Ireland. The p rogram m e is d e ve lo pe d in conjunction with RTE, The Irish Times and th e D e p a rtm e n t o f Education. G earoid has to u re d in England w ith the Irish Cham ber Orchestra. He has co nd u cte d all o f Shaun Davey's m ajor works, and prem ieres o f Shaun Davey's Relief o f Derry S ymphony in 1989 and his C oncerto fo r Uilleann Pipe p e rfo rm e d fo r the first tim e at Greenwich Festival in London. These works are recorded fo r Tara Records. He has done a great deal o f film w o rk w ith th e Irish Film Orchestra, o f which he is Associate Musical Director. No stranger to television and theatre, G earoid G ra nt has co n d u cte d a w id e re p erto ire ranging from M ozart to Sondheim. G earoid has been the co nd u cto r o f the National Youth Orchestra o f Ireland U nder 18s since it was fo rm e d in 1980 and is a m e m b er o f the Board o f the NYOI. G earoid has been th e Musical D irector w ith the R&R fo r over 25 years.

JACKIE CURRAN-OLOHAN - Chorus Director D aughter o f Josephine Scanlon and th e late Chris Curran, Jackie has distinguished herself as a perform er, musician, music director, chorus dire ctor and teacher. Her musical education th rive d under Sr. Agnes Nolan at St. Mary's C ollege, A rklow, Eithne Troy at the C ollege o f Music and subsequently UCD from which she gra du ate d w ith a B Mus. (Hons.). Jackie has been Music D irecto r and C o n d u c to r fo r many show premieres and was awarded Best Music D irecto r at th e W a terford Festival o f Light O pera fo r Stephen Sondheim 's Into the Woods. This, and co nd u cting her fath e r in Annie at th e O lym pia, she regards as her highlights to date. As a p e rfo rm e r she has appeared at th e NCH and on RTE radio and television. She works regularly as a backing vocalist w ith leading recording artists, most recently on Paul Byrom's Velvet. Jackie especially enjoyed playing th e role o f Ruth in Festival Production's Pirates o f Penzance. She is the Chorus D irecto r o f Lyric O pera and was Musical D irector fo r The M a g ic o f Christmas w ith Jim M o llo y Productions at th e National C o n c e rt Hall. M o st recently Jackie was s p o tte d coaching th e finalists in RTE's You're a Star.

Ruth graduated with a B.iVlus Performance Degree from the DIT Conservatory o f Music and Drama in 2005. She began her vocal studies at an early age with the late Daniel McNulty. She is currently studying voice with Mary Brennan. Ruth has won many com petitions throughout Ireland including the Feis Ceoil where she was awarded many prizes including the Junior Vocal Rose Bowl, the Music Lovers Cup for Soprano Solo, and the Forde-Taylor prize. Ruth has perform ed solo in the National Concert Hall and Civic Theatre on many occasions. She sang solo on PM Live on RTE television and on the Gay Byrne radio show. She perform ed as the first Irish soloist in the Royal Tournament in Earls C ourt in London. Ruth also studies drama and has played many leading roles including Magnolia in Showboat. She played the part o f Barbarina in Opera Ireland/DIT 'Bite-size' production o f The Marriage o f Figaro under the direction o f Dieter Kageei in Novem ber 2004 at the Gaiety Theatre and played the part o f Adele (Die Fledermaus) at A N ig h t at the Opera hosted by the DIT, under the direction o f Vivian Coates. Ruth perform ed in the chorus o f the 2005 production of La Traviata produced by Opera Ireland also staged at the Gaiety Theatre.

Elaine graduated with distinction from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in 1999, having studied speech and drama fo r three years. She also perform ed in the National Concert Hall in various productions such as A Celebration o f Song, Joe Conlan and Friends, A Century o f Songs and the AIMS Concert. Elaine is an accomplished singer/songwriter and won the 2FM Song Contest in 1998 with her own com position. She appeared on television programmes such as The Late Late Show, The Den, 2TV, Echo Island, TX, Popscene, PM Live and various radio programmes. She recorded a single fo r telethon with Irish artists including Linda Martin, Gavin Friday and Paul Harrington and reached No. 1 in the Irish charts. Elaine currently teaches drama in Our Lady's School Templeogue and runs her own private drama classes in the evenings where students take exams each term with LAMDA (London Academy o f Music and Dramatic Art) and has had much success w ith her Summer Theatre Workshops. AOIFE O'SULLIVAN

Aoife is currently in her final year of a music perform ance degree at the DIT Conservatory o f Music and Drama where she studies voice under Edith Forrest and Mary Scarlett. She has played a number o f opera roles w ith the DIT opera ensemble including most recently, the part o f Pamina from The Magic Flute in A Night A t The Opera at the National Concert Hall. She has also played the parts of Susanna from Le Nozze Di Figaro and the Sandman from Hansel and Gretel in the DIT Rush-hour Opera concerts and has perform ed in various recitals and choral ensembles within the DIT. She has also had much success in com petitions, most notably winning the Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society Cup at Feis Ceoil in 2005 and winning the La Scala Prize this year in the DIT com petitions. She has also played the role o f Mary in the musical Peter's Passion and recorded the album in 2005. Before studying music, Aoife com pleted a FETAC in Theatre Studies at Colaiste Dhulaigh in2002 where she played the role o f Katie Brown in Calamity Jane. Helen is sixteen years old and is a 5th year student in Loreto College Foxrock. She made her stage debut at the age o f nine playing the part o f Tootie in Kilmacud Musical and Dramatic Society's production of M e e t Me in St. Louis. She went on to do further shows with Kilmacud including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and The M agic o f the Musicals. O th er recent performances include Princess Badroulbador in St. Paul's production o f Aladdin and Brenda in a school production o f The Pajama Game. Helen is now studying dance and drama in the Independent Theatre Workshop under Gillian Oman, having spent five years previously with Stagecoach under Helen Roche. Helen is d elighted to be playing the part o f Shprintze in this year's production o f Fiddler on the Roof.

Sallyann has been studying singing, dancing and acting from a very young age. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts School fo r eight years and has recently moved to The Independent Theatre Workshop. Sallyann perform ed in the musical Oliver in the Helix in 2005 as part o f Fagin's gang. She was also in the operas Tosca and Tourandot in the National Concert Hall. She had a leading role in the play By the Bog o f Cats in Dalkey. In 2004 she was seen in the Miramax film Ella Enchanted w ith a speaking role. She won the Newpark Under 16's Singing and Overall Prizes in 2005. She has also com pleted the Leinster School Drama Exams up to Grade 6, gettin g first class honours and a medal each time.

Laura is 11 years old and lives in Rathfarnham. She started dancing when she was fo u r years old w ith Helen Jordan. She has been attending the Independent Theatre Workshop since 2002, doing drama, dance, singing and musical theatre. Laura has appeared most recently in Bugsy Malone at the Olympia Theatre with Spotlight Productions. She has previously appeared in The Wizard o f Oz in the NCH with Festival Productions and has been an extra in Fair City. She also featured in a FAS television commercial, playing the piano and has played the lead role in school productions including Cinderella and Annie. Laura is currently rehearsing Once upon a Time which is an ITW production which will be staged in Liberty Hall in April. Laura is really excited to be playing Bielke in her first performance with the R&R.

Jenny has been under the guidance o f Gillian Oman, director o f the Independent Theatre W orkshop, since she was three years old. The fun started when she m odelled knitwear, aged one year, on Live A t Three with her tw o sisters. Her film credits include Saol Eile Sceal Eile, Treasure, Nostradamus A n d Me, Life On Mars, and Tillie A n d The Teeth in which she had the lead role as Tillie. She has modelled fo r various clothing companies, including a poster campaign for Dunnes Stores. Jenny has also appeared as one o f the children in The King A n d I in the National Concert Hall and is currently in a television commercial for the Dairy Council. Jenny is delighted to be able to take part in Fiddler On The Roof, sharing the part of Bielke with her friend Laura Keane.

A t h o m e, su rro u n d e d by his lo ve d ones and th e ir ne w gu est, Tevye and G o ld e lead th e fa m ily in a te n d e r and h a u n tin g SABBATH PRAYER. Fiddler O n The Roof began life when Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joseph Stein decided to adapt Sholom Aleichem 's short stories Tevye the Dairyman to th e musical stage. O riginal producer Fred Coe was eventually replaced by producer Harold Prince, w h o b ro u g h t in director/cho reog rap her Jerom e Robbins to give th e piece the universal quality w hich w o uld be a key to its w o rldw ide success. The original production ran fo r seven years, nine months, setting a new record fo r long-running Broadway shows (musical or nonmusical) with 3,242 perform ances. The original cast was headed by Zero M ostel as Tevye (Danny Kaye, Tom Bosley and Danny Thomas were am ong the other actors originally considered fo r the role) and featured Beatrice A rthu r as Yente, Julia M igenes as Model and future game-show host and pro du cer Bert Convy as Perchik. Bette M id ler assumed the role of Tzeitel du ring the original run, as d id Pia Zadora the role o f Tevye's youngest daughter, Bielke. The London cast and the film version were headed by Topol, w h o also starred in the award-winning 1990 Broadway revival. Mags began her stage appearances while in school being directed by Barry Cassin in a nunnber of stage productions. For many years she was part o f Strand Players both as actor and director. Her production o f I Do N o t Like Thee Dr. Fell won the All Ireland Drama Festival in Athlone in 1981. W ith the Strand Players, Mags also directed The Sea, Separate Tables and The Country Boy. Mags served on the Board of the Abbey Theatre from 1978 to 1982. She has also produced a number o f musicals including Showboat, West Side Story and Little Mary Sunshine which won the Premier Award at the Bangor Music Festival. She won the Best Supporting Actress Award at W aterford International Festival o f Light Opera when she played Mama M orton in Chicago with Arthur's Team. This is Mag's fourth appearance with the R&R, having played A unt Eller in Oklahoma!, General Caerwright in Guys and Dolls and the Cockney Landlady in Me and M y Girl.

DOMINIC REID

M otel

Dominic has been involved in theatre for a number o f years and has trained in voice with Maire Ledwith Butler. Favourite roles played to date include, Seymour Kreibourn in Little Shop o f Horrors, Douglas M oore in the Irish Premiere of M eet me in St. Louis, M otel in Fiddler on the Roof, Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!, James Harthouse in Hard Times, John Tallantire, Jackson Pennington and Seth Tallantire in The Hired Man, the Scarecrow in The Wiz, O g the Leprechaun in Finian's Rainbow and Nathan D etroit in Guys and Dolls. Dominic has also appeared in a variety of Dramas including The Real Inspector Hound (City Limits Drama Group), and the award winning Nothing Personal. Panto roles to date include Robin Hood (as Robin Hood) and Aladdin (as Aladdin).

ROBERT VICKERS

Robert hails from W icklow tow n and began his theatrical training at the Gladys Sheehan stage school and went on to further his studies at the Betty Anne Norton theatre school and the Gaiety School of Acting. Having graduated he went on to become resident actor and historical interpreter at Wicklow's Historic Gaol for six years. During this tim e he joined MYTh productions (Musical Youth Theatre), W icklow where he began to realise his talent fo r musical theatre. Robert has perform ed many leading roles in numerous musicals including Oliver, The Merry Widow, South Pacific, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, The Dustin & Socky Big Little Christmas Show, Little Shop o f Horrors, Guys and Dolls and West Side Story. Robert has perform ed at the National Concert Hall, The Helix, The Gaiety Theatre, Clontarf Castle and the Olympia Theatre perform ing in such shows as The Best o f Showstoppers, The Joy o f the Musicals, Showstoppers on tour, Give My Regards to Broadway, A m o n g Friends, The Magic o f Christmas and many more. Robert is an accomplished musician and an award-winning vocal talent having perform ed with numerous groups on the Irish music scene for the last 12 years including 'Close Call', 'Fusion', 'N ew Sensation', 'Soultown' and 'Abbaesque'. M ost recently Robert has been w riting and perform ing his own music to critical acclaim and is looking forword to getting back into the studio and releasing his first album. In summer 2005 Robert worked on and perform ed in the Macnas parade, A it Ait, for the Galway Arts Festival. One of the highlights fo r Robert so far has been winning The Best A ctor Award (AIMS) for his portrayal o f Jesus in Playbacks Production o f Jesus Christ Superstar, which he went on to perform at the Cork Opera House. M ost recently Robert perform ed the W orld Premiere of Seagulls Dance at the Draiocht Theatre, Dublin. This is Robert's first tim e to perform with the prestigious R&R and is delighted to be playing the part of Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof

2006 Spring Production - FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

SEYMOUR CRESSWELL - La z a r W o l f Seymour is a m ember of St Patrick's Dramatic Society, Dalkey, with whom he has perform ed many lead roles. These include Fluther Food in Sean O'Casey's The Plough and the Stars, Captain Boyle in O'Casey's Juno and the Paycock and Willie Loman in A rthur Miller's Death o f a Salesman. In com petition. Seymour has won several Best A ctor awards, most recently for his portrayal o f Harry in John Reason's Death o f a Dummy. This is Seymour's third show with the R&R, having played Sir Jasper in Me and My Girl and Manuel in Gigi.

ROBBIE KEOGH

M ordcha

This is Robbie's tenth year with the R&R. His first show was South Pacific where he played Lt. Buzz Adams and has played parts in almost every show since. He was also involved with Coolmine Panto Group where he played the lead in a number o f pantomimes. In May 2000 he played the part of Benny Southstreet in Knocklyon Variety Group's production o f Guys and Dolls in the Civic Theatre in Tallaght. In 2002 he played in Cloud 9's production o f A View From a Bridge by A rthur Miller in Andrew's Lane Theatre. Robbie is delighted to be understudy to the lead part of Tevye and is looking forw ard to this run in the Gaiety Theatre!!!

PASCHAL WALSH

Ra b b i

Paschal joined the R&R in 1962 for the Society's production o f Wild Violets. He has faithfully perform ed in almost all of the R&R productions since then and among the many parts he has played, his favourites include Luther Billis in South Pacific and Buffalo Bill in Annie Get Your Gun. In 1972 Paschal played the part o f Mendel in the R&R's original production o f Fiddler on the Roof and in 1998 when the society staged the show again Paschal played the part o f Mordcha.

TYNAN HOOPER

M endel

Tynan studied in the Gaiety School o f A cting and from a young age has been very much involved in musical theatre. He starred in several amateur productions including: Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat where he played Jesus in all o f the above productions. He also has perform ed several times in the National Concert Hall singing hits from various musicals and appeared in several productions such as the Wizard o f Oz to hits from West Side Story. He has also appeared on many television program mes for RTE from The Late Late Show to Fair City plus many children's television programmes. Since joining the R&R Musical Society in 2002 Tynan's love fo r musical theatre has grown. He has enjoyed being involved in M e & M y Girl and M y Fair Lady. He played Maitre Duclos in their production o f Gigi and has also featured in many NCH productions with the R&R such as their 90th Celebration Concert and Romberg to Rodgers to several of their G&S productions.

MICHAEL HORAN

Michael is a native o f Castleisland in Co. Kerry. He has been an active member of the R&R over the last tw o years, having first perform ed in M y Fair Lady in Novem ber 2003. Michael won a part-scholarship in the DIT School of Music in 2001 studying singing with Edith Forrest and in 2005 studied w ith Dr. Veronica Dunne in the Leinster School o f Music. He has also perform ed in The Yeomen o f the Guard with the R&R and The Pirates o f Penzance and The Great Waltz with Festival Productions. On the opera front he has perform ed in Aida, Turandot and II due Foscari.

JOE SWAN

Joe has perform ed fo r many years in musicals and concerts with Glasnevin Musical Society, Kilmacud Dramatic & Musical Society, Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society and Irish Theatre Group in Brussels, both as a chorus member and playing various parts. This is Joe's first role with the R&R and hopes that you enjoy his performance.

CLARA DALTON

Clara graduated from Bull Alley Theatre Training Company o f Performing Arts at Liberties College in 2003, where she trained in Acting, Singing and Dance. There she played many lead roles such as Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music, Erzulie in Once On This Island and Sally Bowles in Cabaret. She began her voice training at the age o f fifteen and continues to date under the supervision o f Mary Brennan. Clara has been an active m em ber o f the R&R fo r the last four years and has enjoyed perform ing in many productions including the 90th Celebration Concert (NCH), An Evening with Mr. G ilbert & Mr. Sullivan (NCH), playing Mrs. Hopkins in My Fair Lady in the Gaiety Theatre and a soloist in From Romberg to Rodgers (NCH), to name b ut a few. She was the first ever solo vocalist to perform with the Dublin Youth Orchestra at the NCH in 2004 and recently took part in recording for the Ha'penny Bridge Soundtrack. She is delighted to be returning to the Gaiety Stage and hopes you enjoy the show!

ANNALIESA EVANS

Annaliesa has perform ed with several musical societies in W icklow and Dublin. Previous roles include Eliza in M y Fair Lady and Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar. She has appeared as a soloist w ith Bray Musical Society (Mermaid Theatre) and with MYTh Productions in Wicklow. She also perform ed as a soloist in Glasnevin Musical Society's Showstoppers series for the past three years (NCH & The Helix) and was Jeu Jeu in their production o f The Merry W idow (NCH). Other credits include soloist in Applause with AIMS (The Helix) and a dancer fo r Jim M olloy Productions (NCH). Annaliesa previously studied singing with Deirdre Grier Delaney at the DIT Conservatoire o f Music & Drama, Rathmines during which tim e she won the annual Showboat com petition fo r musical theatre. She currently studies with Conor Farren at the Abbey School o f Music.

JOHN FURLONG

John is a regular perform er with Coolmine Musical Society and played Lazar W olf in their 2004 production of Fiddler on The Roof. O ther recent musical work includes Poo Bah in Hot Mikado with Baidoyle Musical Society and The Proprietor in Assassins w ith Next Stage Productions. Recent stage w ork also includes Remembrance w ith City Limits Productions, The Bald Soprano, Tribute and Proof all with Estuary Players. He won a num ber o f awards fo r his recent portrayal o f Ralph in their production of Bryony Lavery's chilling drama Frozen.

FEARGAL HARRINGTON

Feargal is delighted to be involved with the R&R in this production of Fiddler on the Roof. He has taken to the stage since his schooldays with productions including The Wizard o f Oz (Scarecrow) and Candide (Charles Edward) with Belvedere. O ther notable productions include Oklahoma! (Curley) with Cecilian Theatre Group, Prince Charming in Cooimine's Cinderella, Cascada in The Merry M//c/ow with Glasnevin and various other roles. M ost notably, in 2003, he won best supporting male in the W aterford International Festival of l^ight Opera fo r his role as Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls (Playback). He w ould like to wish all the cast the very best o f luck with this production o f Fiddler on the Roof.

IMELDA BRADLEY

Shandel

Imelda is an active m ember of the R&R, and has perform ed in many o f their productions and has enjoyed every m om ent of each and every one of them . She is also a mem ber o f the R&R Executive C om m ittee, acting as Social Secretary. Imelda has been involved with music since an early age - having received qualifications in singing, piano and violin. She is delighted to be playing Shandel in this season's production of Fiddler on the Roof and hopes th a t you all enjoy the show.

CHRISTIAAN FEEHAN

This is Christiaan's first appearance on stage w ith the R&R. He spent tw o years studying perform ance in Bull Alley Theatre Training Company in Dublin, after which he took a year out travelling throughou t Australia. During his tim e there he was lead perform er in a dance commercial for Fox Television. He has appeared in many stage productions including West Side Story, Cabaret, Oklahoma! and Moliere's Tartuffe. He most recently played the role o f Seymour in Birr Stage Guild's production of Little Shop o f Horrors. Christiaan also runs a tw o-w eek theatre training camp for children during the summer. He's delighted to be making his R&R debut.

SARAH OXONNOR

Sarah is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland and has been studying in the Royal Irish Academy of Music for the past six years, where she is also receiving voice training. She has also been studying dance, singing and drama in Westside Stage School since 1998. Sarah has appeared in various shows in the National Concert Hall, The Helix, the Civic Theatre, the Olympia and the Rupert Guinness Hall. She has travelled to London on several occasions to dance including a dance scholarship to North London Dance studios.
