Canadian Real Estate Sold to Chinese? You Got it!

Recently you might have heard how in Vancouver the real estate price is going way

out of reach for most consumers. It's like that in Toronto as well but this a serious

problem which needs policy issues looked at and how we raise a unified Canadian

society, market the "Made in Canada" brand and we apply policies to save our nation

from being sold.

First...

TheTop3 MistakesCanadaMade

It'saculturalissue.Weletourcountrybeoccupiedbyforeignerswho havenointerestinlearningaboutCanadianculture,artsandmusic. Canadiansdon'teventeachFinancialmanagementnorCanadianhistory infull.

Point being, we forgot to Brand "Made in Canada" and didn't empower Canadians with Financial Education. So our counter parts took us over with those skills in hand.

On a cultural note, we start a Ministry of Multiculturalism but forgot to teach

Canadian Culture with that we didn't bother to built internal Canadian economies.

If we built the "Made in Canada" brand while populating Canada as well marketed place to live, we would at least been able to keep up with the Real Estate Bubble by making a larger return on Investments in Real Estate. Sounds stupid but brands cost more than their generic counter parts. With that, we failed to teach financial education as well. Serious mistakes our foreign counter parts obviously empowered their people with before they started owning Canada.

I am tired of people saying Canada "is a nation of many cultures -it has no culture of

it's own" then when they say they're Canadian they have no idea about Canadian

history and evolution. Worse, Randy Bachman has a CBC radio show which is all

about music but more so, he was part of legendary Canadian Music groupTheGuess

Who-who sing the song "Share the Land" and most of these Chinese or Foreign

buyers have no interest in our openness or our culture in regards to music and the arts

( the typical things which make up culture ). If we Canadians started teaching these

things in school to theirkids, maybe we would have a unified culture to celebrate and

their offspring would want to be more Canadian. Yes, I'm tired of seeing businesses

which have no English -they left a country they didn't like, To Make Canada Like

The Nation They Left. At least in America and around the world, "Made in the USA"

is more than just a label or a legendary rock song, it shows how proud Americans are

and they branded themselves through their culture!

(BruceSpringsteen&theEStreetBandsinging the song "Born in the USA" -The

song became that Re-Branded "Made in the USA") Second... TherethisnotionthataFederalMinistryofMulticulturalismwasgoing topreventandstopclassdivisionandunitethenation, giveitaplaying fieldtoworkontogethertobuildastrongeconomy, createjobsandaid inthefinancialgrowthofthenation.

This only Funded Internal Economies by religion and foreign background with Tax Dollars while leaving out the Canadian Economy and Canadian jobs.

All it really did was create is public melting pot of culture communities getting

government funding for their own internal economies. Sounds like a great idea until

you start loosing your nation to people who have no desire to contribute to your

nation.

It was meant to propagate and eventually help the economy but it was just telling

Canadians to be nice to people who were different with public tax dollars. You can

imagine how dumb an idea this was when Canadian Culture was the only oneNOTat

the table. That created polarization from politicians on the New Right who brought

forward some of the most racist topics to senate debates and destroyed the nation even

further from being together. The playing field became this political correctness helm

of activity with cultures fighting for recognition for their diversity rather than their

contributions to Canada.

Due to the lack ofcontributions to Canada, the Canadian

Economy at all levels and it's citizen to maintain stable long term employment, it killed Consumer Power and Investor Power.

Indians and other foreign communities come here to be a part of Canada and learn and

live the way Canadians are know for while constantly teaching English with Canadian

norms because there is this great desire to service Canada.

(Hockey Night in Canada, in Panjabi)

Coming from a highly critiqued culture being ofan Indo-Canadian background, Ican

attest, that we who are ofthis group, especially Indian's who are Sikhs, Hindus,

Christians, Catholics and other groups, love Canada and Canadian life so much that

baptized Sikhs in Canada, commentate and host "Hockey Night in Canada" in the

Punjabi language for those ofthat large community ofPanjabi Indo-Canadians who

"religiously" follow the National Hockey League - who might not know English yet

because the desire to keep background yet to assimilate to Canadian life is so much.

trying to pointing fingers but let's face it, those real estate signs aren't in Herbrew damn it - let alone English!

The result was Canadians lost Consumer and Investor power while they left with an economy without stable long term employment options

Further, as mentioned earlier, there is a Canadian rock Anthem and very few

Canadians might remember it, in fact it was written by a Canadian super-band

calledTheGuessWho.FormerGuessWhomember Randy Bachman hosts a CBC

music radio show. He told a story of a concert they once did where in the encore of

their concert, Randy Bachman on guitar and Burton Cummings carrying the Canadian

flag with 25,000 fans singing the lines of the song "Share the Land".

Maybe we need a clause which is something like: "...the longer you're Canadian & Financially Capable, the better position you are to own your real estate"

Then there are those, who come with no desire to be Canadian or learn the language.

To them, they can leave through the same door they came in or they can learn to

"Share the Land". Now, seniors may never learn English or French due to their age if

they came from a non-English or non-French speaking background. There would be

rules and exceptions.

Lastly, as mentioned, we need reviewed and changed Foreign ownership policies.

Canadians should not be left with without a fair run at the best local real estate options

or any other Canadian Investment.

WellAustraliansaregoingthroughthesameproblem.

At least when Indians moved into Surrey, British Columbia -we left because we

wanted new homes and but didn't forget to learn then teach our kids the Canadian

Community way of life. That was in a time when people didn't know that India is a

full ally of Canada, the UK, the USA not to mention a Common Wealth Nation.

Australia is hanging on for dear life it seems and so is Vancouver and Toronto.

Onafurthernote,thereshouldberulesforownership inpolicies. Forexample,

it should be depending on how long you've been in Canada then the regular financial

scope for investment

You can purchase prime real estate once you're a citizen ofsay, 5, 10, 15, 20+ years

You must engage in Canadian music, arts and community level multi cultural

Canadian activities

One cannot get government jobs until the second or third generation unless it is some

specialized position.

Can't run for government elections until you've done community service and not just

in your Non-Canadian community.

Non-Canadians would come dead last in being able to decide where they wanted to

live unless they were living with family and not owning for the time period set or until

they are a part ofcontributing to Canada and the culture

There would be select areas non-Canadians can and cannot invest and/or purchase.

While we change that policy, Canadians need to start teaching Canadian music and

the arts, culture, history as mandatory education to be a Canadian citizen and in as

early as grade school and every year after.
