This week/month several news stories were published on why Canada should aim to be like Norway. Not a bad Idea but it's a bit late, like 36 Million people (and growing number in population) too late and so much more (ie. we are next to the United States of America and so forth). Norway is wealthy nation and if the current Canadian government were that smart, they would have done and still would be doing what Norway did which has little to do with what they actually got done. Canadian's need to innovate, manufacture and then, capitalize - those are the steps needed to make this nation a wealthy one - with or without oil. Going to look to the United States to figure out how to make health care better was a stupid idea - plain dumb as a nail. Likewise, going to Norway to figure out how to be rich like Norway also fits into the brain capacity of Canadian thinking with the current government - dumb as a nail, once again. You can't be Norway for the same reason I can't be Michael Jordan - I need to do what's best for me like Michael did for himself. When Canada learns to Innovate, Manufacture and then Capitalize - it will be a rich nation. Until then, we got the cattle-wingers and hay-weavers in the Federal and Alberta based Conservative Party of Canada - all dumb as a nail and ruining the nation. This will never work in Canada, the story you just read might as well be a written without dragging Norway into and it might as well win the "Fairy Tale of Year" literary award. I think it was written so that Preston Manning can just feel good and Stephan Harper could look good.

Lesson to Learn from these findings: Because there are more people in Canada, there is a larger overhead cost to keep them all alive and healthy - even if it is just enough for them to pay income tax and so forth to pay for things like military and other services in Canada.
2. LAND MASS & POPULATION Norway has less overhead to maintain because there are less people and it's geographic size is much less Raw Facts... Norway is 304,282.0 Square KM Canada is 9,093,507.0 Square KM (above number source from http://world.bymap.org/LandArea.html, 2015) Lesson to Learn from these findings: Due the the fact that Norway is nearly 30 times SMALLER and Canada has 30 Times the land mass - there is much more overhead cost in hiring people, reaching populations in need of health care, education and durable goods. The cost of infrastructure like electric power lines, water systems, gas lines, oil lines, roads, schools, hospitals and the list goes on. The idea we can be rich using the same plan is plain stupid - again, this idea is as dumb as a nail.

PURCHASING POWER Canada has one of the highest Minimum Wages in the world but with or without a Minimum Wage Job, it costs most Canadians, on a dual income, so much that they can hardly afford to save enough to pull mortgage payments for a house, have families and retire, etc.
Lesson to Learn from these findings: The cost of living is high in Canada and we're under paid while not smart enough to find our own solutions - so we sell our nation to foreigners, look at other nations which did find their own solutions and continue to FAIL trying to attempt to be like other nations. We need to be Innovating, Manufacturing then Capitalizing. Which means: (A) Canadian's need to find / innovate solutions which are unique to the situations in Canada (B) Find new ways and create goods which are branded with the "Made in Canada" label, be well branded and respected on a global scale then Manufacture Goods, Ideas and Services. (C) Then generate regular revenue streams either through businesses which are Canadian head quartered (owned and operated), crown corporations, Local & Foreign Manufacturing operations in Canada or import/export deals. There should be a clause in the constitution which says that "If you are a Canadian head quartered manufactured goods business, you must manufacture XX% of total goods produced
that year (in a manufacturing sector) which are 100% made in Canada" - the rest you can make anywhere you want. In fact, many nations have clauses like that. Our Canada is NOT any other Nation. We are our OWN PEOPLE. That's right. In fact even on my dating profile I rarely fill in Ethnicity because they don't have Canadian!
4. COST OF LIVING VS PURCHASING POWER SUMMARY 1. Norway costs way more to live in and has lower over head yet taxes heavily but retire and live retired very well. 2. Canada cost more to live in than most nations, has citzens who can't afford to live as well in Canada because, Foreign Investment bought Canada and defused the ability of Canadians to support themselves and loved ones. 3. Canada carries larger overhead costs due to land mass, distance to reach citizens, number of newcomers who don't feel the need to assimilate to Canada, number people we have to teach English to prepare them for the workforce and many times they never contribute to Canada because they go back to their Home Nation and so forth. 4. Canada's #1 Mistake was letting our government be run by Alberta hay-weaver Preston Manning and the rednecks he incorporated while creating a nation sold to Foreigners for which he now gets to have a Panda at the Zoo in Calgary (Alberta, Canada) for - that Panda came from the Chinese, our #1 Foreign Investment nation. They own most of Canada because our government sold it off to them with poor regulations on real estate, sold resource companies to them and then let them live in Canada without them having to learn English - we do this to most any foreigner. The dummies in power are now too stupid to figure out their own solutions since our right wing government went to hell with Preston Manning and this "New Reform" Crap. There's a lot of right wing church goers in the right wing that Manning created and they're all a secular Christians in my opinion - hiding behind Christianity as a scape-goat for their ill behaviour towards those you are different.This last paragraph is a personal opinion shared by myself and many I know. Norway is rich because people are willing to pay higher cost of living for the long run to be easy. I should mention now that the Tax Dollars go into a Sovereign Fund and people retired well in Norway. In Canada, in order to be like Norway, we stop bringing in people from countries or other places who no desire to learn and be a part of our GDP by going to work everyday in the English Language (at the bare minimum) When picking a leader of a nation: 
1. Make sure he or she is not: A racist or claims they are religious when really you can see they're a bunch of Stockwell Day types. What I mean by that is, I think he's a secular who hides behind Christianity as a scape-goat to blame his problems and views about other cultures. This derogatory view of other cultures, religions and expressing it, is not safe for anyone involved, especially not to Canadian's. 2. Make sure he or she is not: A degenerate, racist, redeneck, sexual predator, abusive or anything of that sort. Canada is a dynamic, multi-cultural Common Wealth Nation with a diverse set of cultures and communities. In this case, Preston Manning, Stephan Harper, Jason Kenny, John Baird, Peter Mackay and even Stockwell Day are not only part of the current Conservative Party of Canada BUT also Degenerates who: (A) Attempted to Legalize Prostitution to take advantage of girls who choose it as a career (B) Cut off services to Veterans until an election was coming up after theyshut down Veteran Stations, (C) Sold of Canadian Resource Companies and Real Estate to the Chinese and other foreign nations (D) Reduced funding to sectors other than oil causing them to shutdown or lay off Canadian workers (E) Cut taxes and then dinged you with a carbon tax, toll charges at highways and bridges and everywhere else using his partners who work as Premiers to Provinces he supports (F) Kept a Canadian Journalist in an Egyptian Prison so carelessly and ignorantly that the Australian Prime Minister and government had to advocate for his relief after the

Lastly, (D) Attempting to Kill all other resource sectors for oil with Nothing to Buffer a Downfall. 4. Make Sure Your he or she is not: (A) A wheat-springer who is brought on as an MP because he was a crazy pastor who tried to reduced the power of the United Church of Canada - which is the institutional Church of Canada. That's how I remember Preston Manning and Stockwell Day trying to kill the nation best. (B) Dumb as a nail.You tell Stockwell Day types, when they say "Find Jesus, Jesus will Save you." - based on what we've experienced with Stockwell Day, the intentions are not to make you a better person or any of that, so in return you say, "Jesus found Cesar - not the other way other way around. Shouldn't I be looking for Cesar?"
5. You should study world economies & cultures on a regular basis to learn that: (A) Each nation is different (B) Why your government had to lie to you for more than 20 years before you realize it was a mistake they even got this far. 6. Read some business books on: (A) Capital nations with infrastructures which support their people (B) New comers to your nation - immigration programs and patterns (C) Accepting Diversity ie. other cultures and communities as citizens 7. Lastly, If the person you pick had a racist or redneck father who was the Premier of a Province which never created note able Free Enterprise like Research in Motion, Nortel or any major bank or companies like Lululemon etc: (A) That combination of father-son is going to be making up garbage and plays you as "stupid" while ruining Canadians and Canada because you missed steps 1, 2 and 3 (B) You will have empowered another Preston Manning and destroyed a Conservative Party of Canada. Canadians, Right and Left ... did have smart well cultured based in it before they rounded up the idiots they have today in Canada as a Federal Tory Party and spread them across the nation as Premiers of Provinces. Ending Notes... What to conclude from comparing these 2 nations? 1. If you want to retire well like Norwegian's you need a Sovereign Fund. This will draw more people to the country so you better start teaching kids about Canada like who Farley Mowat is, who Burton Cummings and Neil Young are and how to speak English, not to have the signs on businesses in letters that are not of the English Language, how to say "please" and "Thank You" and just the same great things which make Canadians so great. Not just our Ice Hockey and Curling teams but so much more. 2. If you don't want to be Canadian - Get out! 3. Get rid of the cattle-wingers that Preston Manning raised to be redneck idiots and run this nation into the ground.
