FLOAT EQUIPMENT
FLOAT SHOES
Description
Float shoes ensure positive sealing in vertical, horizontal and deviational wells.
Can be supplied in K-55, L-80, N80, C-95, T- 95, and P110 from 3
1⁄2” to 30”.

Description
Guide Shoes provide a simple and economical means to run casing in a well bore The design includes an internal taper to ensure trouble-free entry of drilling tools back into the casing string after drill out and during drilling operation
Eccentric cement noses can be provided for applications where sloughing and highly deviated well bores are encountered All Guide Shoes are PDC drillable and available from 3 1⁄2” to 30”
CASING REAMER SHOES
Description
Casing Reamer Shoes cost effectively overcome a number of problematic wellbore conditions that may occur when running casing strings or liners, including bridging, cutting beds in high angle wells, ledging & washouts, mobile formations, sloughing & swelling formations and wellbore tortuosity.
The use of Tungsten Carbide cutting structure on the blades gives a full 3600 coverage, for use when rotation or reciprocation may be required to limit torque issues. All Casing Reamer Shoes are designed with back reaming features and the blades provide stabilisation during reaming and centralisation during cementing.
R&D Solutions offer two fully drillable nose designs: a standard Eccentric Nose or a Concentric Nose, available in aluminium and high strength “Ezy Drill” composite. The Eccentric Nose is suitable for guiding the string through ledges, washouts and re- locating the wellbore. The Concentric Nose is ideal for clearing a passage through bridges and over-centre obstructions.
Flow-by areas have been maximised for circulation and cementation operations and the tools can be supplied with customer specific threads for the box connection. All tools available with either a single or double API approved Float Valve.
CASING REAMER SHOES
CEMENT PLUGS
TOP & BOTTOM CEMENTING PLUGS
Description
Cement plugs are used to cement casing in a wellbore while wiping casing surfaces clean of drilling mud, spacers and cement. Cementing plugs also prevent over displacement of the cement slurry and indicate when the cementing job is complete and a positive seal has been achieved.
R&D Solutions supplies a range of standard and non- rotating, top and bottom cementing plugs, designed for very high accuracy, reliability, ease of operation and drill ability.
CENTRALISERS
STEEL BODIED CENTRALISERS
Description
R&D Solutions supplies a range of steel bodied centralisers and accessories. All equipment is API Monogrammed.
Centralisers assist operators to place and support the casing string in the wellbore, enhancing mud removal and providing zone isolation.
Proper selection of primary cementing accessories reduces the need for secondary cementing, ensuring tubulars get to target depth, achieve optimum circulation and reducing risk of differential sticking.
STAGED CEMENTING EQUIPMENT
HYDRAULIC CEMENTING TOOL
Description
R&D Solutions’ hydraulic staged cementing tool meets the challenges of cementing holes at any angle with a hydraulically opened port system. The tool is specifically used for Primary cementing in deep vertical or high deviated horizontal-well conditions. It reduces total hydrostatic pressure on weak formations to prevent lost circulation during cementing.
It ensures success in multiple stage cementing applications, precisely positioning the cement slurry during stage cementing operations and ideal in the following situations:
• Horizontal wellbores where the bend radius requires cementing
• If different blends of cement require safe pumping into the wellbore
• Where there may be a breakdown of low pressure formations.
SPONGE BALLS
Description
R&D Solutions sponge balls are designed to pump down drillpipe and tubing to clean out or separate cement, fluids and debris.
• High density ball compressive strength - 300 Kg/m3
• Wipes clean the ID of DP / Tubulars
• Prevents cement stringers lining the ID of DP
• Can be pumped through small restrictions
• 6” Sponge Ball can pass through 2” restriction
• Often referred to as DP Foam Balls.
