D&H is a nationwide trucking company with locations in Portales, NM (corporate headquarters) and Ravenna, MI. They primarily haul dairy products including organic raw milk, condensed milk, and cream. Owner, Doug Pfaffenberger, started out hauling cattle and commodities in 2003. In 2017, he altered his business model and transitioned into solely running bulk milk trailers. Regarding their growth over the years, Doug mentions, “In the beginning, we started out with six trucks. Now we currently operate seventy-two and counting in our fleet. We also added a new yard in Ravenna last year in 2020. We are 100% customer focused and committed to excellence at every level. We do exactly what we promise. In fact, our company motto is: Promises. Delivered. We pride ourselves on being an honest and reliable carrier.” “In 2017, as we were growing the new side of our operations into the milk hauling business, we began buying Volvo Trucks from Bruckner’s mostly consisting of sleepers. We did purchase a few day cabs as well. We lean towards the Volvo product because of the driver comfort, economy, and the reliability of the trucks. Inspect the cabin air filter and blow out the evaporator core. Inspect Sleeper cabin filter and blow out evaporator (if applicable) Hook up A/C gauges. Run engine at 1000-1200 RPM with the A/C blower speed control switch on medium speed setting. Record high and low PSI readings, vent outlet temperature and ensure that the compressor cycles. Compare system temps and pressures to insure optimal performance is achieved. Recommend and estimate any repairs and advise the customer.
