TEX-MEX SERVICES AND RENTALS

TEX-MEX RENTALS & SERVICES THE PATH TO SUDDEN GROWTH Tex-Mex Rentals & Services, according to the Bruckner Sales Team of Hobbs, is a huge player in Southeast New Mexico. They provide oilfield services and rentals for large oil companies such as Oxy USA, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Devon and Texland Petroleum, just to name a few. Owner, Ron Todd, started out as a welder with a single truck, expanding his business to pipeline welding and custom welding to now owning Tex-Mex Services and a majority of Tex-Mex Rentals. The rentals portion of the business started in 2011 with frac tank and light tower rentals. A year later in 2012, Tex Mex Services was formed to add other oilfield services such as roustabouts, welding, sandblasting and coating, backhoes, dirt equipment, forklifts, porta potties, trash trailers, winch trucks, hot oilers, and other heavy equipment to their operation. This past summer, Tex-Mex received an oilfield contract with the need to add water haul trucks and trailers to their fleet.

They purchased thirteen complete tractor trailers initially, with the immediate demand to add more.

The Tex-Mex operation continues to significantly grow and expand to meet the demands of the area’s needs. They are currently one of Hobbs’ largest employers, if not the largest in the area. This growth includes employees, equipment, land, buildings and offices. “Ron is very business-savvy having owned his own business for forty-seven years,” says Lisa Todd, Ron’s spouse and Tex-Mex Office Manager.

Lisa indicates that Ron makes it a priority to have good, dependable equipment for their employees. “Ron is highly involved in the day-to-day operations, is constantly maintaining everything, and strives to keep the employees safe to provide a good work place,” says Lisa. “That is the 6

most important thing that we can do for our employees and community.”

The more demand on oil, the more our workload increases. It’s all about energy. We are just really thankful that we can provide it.

We would really like to see more people come back to the Permian Basin. There’s a need out here, and we know the supply is here,” says owner, Ron Todd.

Tyson Smith, Bruckner’s of Hobbs General Manager, claims it was the Bruckner dealership network that allowed them to meet Tex-Mex’s tight timeframe from order to delivery within eight to ten weeks. “Mack Trucks are king in the Hobbs area and our Sales Representative, Tom Wolfe, has had a long-time relationship with Ron. Every Road Choice clutch incorporates the EZ adjust feature and the manual adjust capability.

DISC SPRINGS

Every Road Choice clutch unit is shipped with discs that contain chrome silicon, valve-quality steel disc springs that have been cryogenically treated. This patented process virtually eliminates spring failure, increasing clutch life.

FRICTION MATERIAL

Road Choice offers asbestos-free woven organic and sintered copper materials of high friction properties, resulting in low wear and high reliability. Test results show a high coefficient of friction (COF), which increases torque capacity.

FIBER BRAKE SPACER

Shipped free of charge in every new Road Choice clutch unit, this spacer is essential to achieve brake squeeze when the flywheel has been resurfaced.

STATE-OF-THE-ART ASSEMBLY

Every Road Choice clutch unit is shipped as a “serialized” matched unit and digitally recorded to the specific serial number.

CAST COVER REPLACEMENT

Road Choice offers a cast cover replacement for the medium-duty clutch.

WARRANTY

All Road Choice clutch units offer 24 months and unlimited mileage warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

Road Choice brake drums are manufactured to meet the toughest requirements of the heavy-duty North American aftermarket based on recommended SAE practices. Every Road Choice full-cast brake drum is machine-balanced to 20 in-oz. specifications, per industry standards. This helps reduce vibrations and improves roll characteristics for a better ride.
