A WORD FROM ACH CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES

To All Participants and Sponsors of Bruckner’s 26th Annual Charity Golf Classic

“Your generosity through the Bruckner’s Annual Charity Golf Classic allows children to experience the love they deserve.”

So much has changed in the world since ACH Child and Family Services founding in 1915. Yes, the ACH mission of protecting children and preserving families has endured world wars and significant peaks and valleys of the economy, not unlike your own businesses.

But there are three areas that have had the greatest impact on our work with children and families…the increasing rate of drug and alcohol addiction, the rising incidence of child abuse and neglect, and the hardships to children and families living in a cycle of poverty.

ACH’s ability to adapt and respond to these critical needs is through caring people like you that have helped us provide safety, hope and love. I personally appreciate the dedication that the Bruckner family and their employees have shown to our mission for the past 26 years. Thank you for sponsoring and participating in this wonderful day of fun with purpose. Here at ACH, we feel like you are a member of our family and we work hard every day to make you proud.

ACH provides 15 different programs and services to children, youth and families in need including a 24-hour Youth Emergency Shelter, residential group care, foster care, outreach to youth living on the streets or involved in trafficking, and counseling.

A child’s story: ACH was contacted about a 17-month-old little girl who had been removed from her family by Child Protective Services and was in need of foster care.

“Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw when the car door opened. This sweet, innocent child had multiple bite marks all over her head and face. There was a cut in her lip where she had been bitten, and she had fractured wrists and several bruises to her tiny body. We knew that she had been abused and neglected, but this just took my breath away,” said Raquel, a foster care worker.

“That little girl, I am sure, had the worst day of her life, but was received with love and open arms by her ACH foster family who was prepared to support her and give her the extra attention she needed to begin the healing process,” said Raquel, ACH Foster Care worker.

A WORD FROM A PLACE FOR GRACE

In February of 2018, A Place for Grace will be celebrating 20 years of providing a stable Christian home for over 40 children. A Place for Grace was born out of the heart of Lynette Gray as a faith based ministry to help troubled and hurting children. Thanks to events like the Ben Bruckner Jr Charity Golf Classic, we have been able to provide a much needed vacation for these children each summer for nearly 15 years, Ben and Peggy Bruckner, along with Brian and Chris have always made us feel like family at these events. The Bruckner family here in Fort Worth have taken us on as if we were part of their family.

We want to thank each sponsor of this event and tell you that without your support, this event would not be possible. I know many of you have been with this event since it started and those of you that have recently become a part have touched the lives of children by providing them with a fun filled summer.

A special thank you to the Fort Worth team who work year around to make this event bigger and better each year. We are truly blessed to call the Bruckner Team our friends and family.

Thank you and may God continue to bless Chris and Brian as they carry on the legacy passed to them by their parents. Blessings to Mrs. Peggy and we pray comfort over her as she continues to lead this Godly family.
