A WORD FROM ACH

“Your generosity through the Bruckner’s Annual Charity Golf Classic brings hope to children and the love they deserve.”

To All Participants and Sponsors of Bruckner’s 30th Annual Charity Golf Classic So much has changed in the So much has changed in the world since ACH Child and Family Services founding in 1915. Yes, the ACH mission of protecting children and preserving families has endured world wars and significant peaks and valleys of the economy, not unlike your own businesses.

But there are three areas that have had the greatest impact on our work with children and families…the increasing rate of drug and alcohol addiction, the rising incidence of child abuse and neglect, and the hardships to children and families living in a cycle of poverty.

ACH’s ability to adapt and respond to these critical needs is through caring people like you that have helped us provide safety, hope and love. I personally appreciate the dedication that the Bruckner family and their employees have shown to our mission for the past 29 years. Thank you for sponsoring and participating in this wonderful day of fun with purpose. Here at ACH, we feel like you are a member of our family and we work hard every day to make you proud.

ACH provides 15 different programs and services to children, youth and families in need including a 24-hour Youth Emergency Shelter, residential group care, foster care, outreach to youth living on the streets or involved in trafficking, and counseling.

A child’s story: ACH was contacted about Sofia, a two year old little girl who had been removed from her biological mother by Child Protective Services and was in need of foster care.

“Nothing could have prepared our family for this broken little girl that came to live with us. This sweet, innocent child had multiple bumps and bruises and looked like she hadn’t eaten in a while. She was scared and shivering. We knew that she had been abused and neglected, but this just took our breath away,” said Norman and Mary, foster parents.

“That little girl was wrapped in loving arms and a warm blanket by her foster parents. At first she was so scared and she wouldn’t even maintain eye contact. But over the next few days with the loving arms holding night and day, she began to feel safe. Now begins the journey for healing.” said Raquel, ACH Foster Care worker.

A WORD FROM A PLACE FOR GRACE

A Place for Grace just celebrated 20 years of providing a stable Christian home for over 40 children.

As we celebrated we reflected on those that have poured their prayers, time and finances into A Place for Grace. On top of that list was the Bruckner family, team and this event. This event has provided not only a family vacation for these kids, but it has provided us with an opportunity to meet many of the employees, participants and their families.

All the folks at this event have always made us feel like family. The Bruckner family here in Fort Worth have gone above and beyond to not only produce this event, but to check on us during the year and to always be there to lend a hand.

We want to thank each sponsor of this event and tell you that without your support, this event would not be possible. I know many of you have been with this event since it started and those of you that have recently become a part have touched the lives of children by providing them with a fun filled summer.

We would ask that each of you continue to lift up A Place for Grace, the children and Lynette and I as we continue to raise children in a world that attacks them at every level. My heart breaks for the children of today and for what they face on a daily basis. For those of you that have young children and grandchildren, pray for them daily and let them know they are loved. It seems at times that we are losing the battle, but we will continue the fight.
