AIR TRANSPORTATION Tulsa, Okla., is located 60 miles southwest of Vinita and is served by most major airlines. Joplin, Missouri, is located 60 miles northeast of Vinita and is served by US Airways. Local area airports are available for private planes. Call in advance and we will meet your flight.

SALE TERMS & CONDITIONS Terms: CASH. All cattle are to be paid for during or immediately after the sale and will not be released until after settlement has been made. Bulls will not be transferred until paid for in full.

HERD HEALTH All cattle have been on a comprehensive vaccination program and will have interstate health papers required for shipping into other sections of the United States. All Animals have received Bovi-Shield Gold FP5VL5HB, Virashield L6 (spring breds), a shot of MultiMin and Dectomax Injectable and have been tested for PI BVD. Herd Veterinarian is Clint Gardner, D.V.M., Pryor, Okla. (918) 825-1717.

BULL DEVELOPMENT - Nutrition Bulls are developed on a 160-acre grass trap. They are fed 3% of their body weight with the total ration formulated by Great Plains Livestock Consultants consisting of ground grass hay, wet corn gluten, soyhull pellets and mineral. They are offered free choice grass hay.

TRUCKING We are offering free delivery of bulls within a 250-mile radius of the ranch, or pick up your bull sale day and receive a $50 discount. Trucks will be available for hire sale day. Let us know if you need assistance with your trucking arrangements.

REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES All bulls will be transferred to the buyer at the seller’s expense.

Each buyer must be sure to give the clerk the proper name and address for making transfers. Registered females, as noted, will sell with optional registration papers ($35/registration). The commercial females sell without registration certificates.

GUARANTEE AND INSURANCE All bulls sell fully guaranteed under Terms and Conditions of the American Angus Association. All bulls sell with a 90day breeding guarantee. Insurance for your purchases will be available sale day at the clerk’s desk.

ANGUS EPDS & $VALUES: AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION ® SELECTION TOOLS Expected Progeny Difference (EPD) , is the prediction of how future progeny of each animal are expected to perform relative to the progeny of other animals listed in the database. EPDs are expressed in units of measure for the trait, plus or minus. Interim EPDs may appear on young animals when their performance has yet to be incorporated into the American Angus Association National Cattle Evaluation (NCE) procedures. This EPD will be preceded by an “I”, and may or may not include the animal’s own performance record for a particular trait, depending on its availability, appropriate contemporary grouping, or data edits needed for NCE.

Calving Ease Direct (CED), is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births, with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf heifers. It predicts the average difference in ease with which a sire’s calves will be born when he is bred to first-calf heifers. Birth Weight EPD (BW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny compared to that of other sires.

Weaning Weight EPD (WW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.

Yearling Weight EPD (YW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.

Carcass EPDs are calculated from an integrated analysis of the Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR®) carcass and ultrasound phenotypic databases.

The evaluation is enhanced to include carcass performance data and to simultaneously incorporate ultrasound performance data on bulls, heifers and steers. Ultrasound traits are analyzed as indicator traits for carcass merit. The outcome of this analysis is a single set of EPDs, simple to interpret in carcass units, relevant to commercial producers and the industry. The genetic evaluation produces EPDs for carcass weight, marbling score, ribeye area and fat thickness.

Marbling EPD (Marb), expressed as a fraction of the difference in USDA marbling score of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.

Ribeye Area EPD (RE), expressed in square inches, is a predictor of the difference in ribeye area of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.

EPD’s adjust weekly at the American Angus Association. EPD’s were current as of 10/04/2013 for both Angus and SimAngus bulls.

DISCLOSURE OF TESTS RESULTS FOR KNOWN GENETIC DEFECTS AND FACTORS The seller shall have an affirmative duty to notify the buyer of any test results for genetic defects or genetic factors not otherwise reflected on an animal’s pedigree.

Optional Guarantee: Genetic Defects 1. The buyer and seller may determine the scope and duration of a guarantee, if any, on an individual basis. The seller may, but is not required, to provide a guarantee to the buyer relating to genetic defects.

2. Nothing contained herein should be construed to relieve the parties from complying fully with all the rules and policies of the Association relating to genetic defects generally or individually.

We accept heifers, steers and bulls.

If desired, we can even set-up and A.I. your replacement females for you while in our operation.

Cattle are fed in grass traps and fed rations specifically developed for us and our operation by Great Plains Livestock Consultants.

Financing options are available for those who qualify.
