We would like to invite you to attend our annual Performance in the Pasture Production Sale. We are grateful that you have chosen to take a look at the bulls and females we are offering. We are proud to offer cattle that are “flexible”—no matter what your goals are--- selling calves at weaning, retaining cattle through the feedlot, or retaining heifers, the bulls and cows in these pages can help you move your herd forward. We accomplish this by focusing on cattle with a balanced EPD profile, with a special focus on high growth, superior marbling combined with genetics to sire fertile and productive replacement females yet are cattle that are good to look at.
We hope you can be with us on sale day. If not in person, check out the sale on CCI.Live. Bulls will sell first, and we will follow with the spring bred pairs, followed by fall bred cows. This offering incorporates genetics from our most elite cow families. To get to know our program better, below are some bullet points to help share a little about us.
• Angus cattle are the bread and butter of our livelihood. A day does not go by without a cow in it, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
• We believe in feeding cattle. All our bottom end bulls are sorted off and go through our feedlot. Their weights are recorded in the contemporary groups that these bulls are members of.
• All our commercial cattle are all bred to Meyer Cattle bulls, and we can watch them perform all the way through harvest. Additionally, we retain our heifer calves thus allowing us to see and watch the mother cows they become. As you can see, we try to watch our cattle at all parts of their life and how they perform allowing us to make the best breeding decisions possible to produce cattle that we can be confident in.
• We believe that EPD’s are an important selection tool, and all cattle have been genomic tested which improves the accuracy of the genetic predictions and confirms parentage.
• Take note of the EPD averages of the bulls. You will notice a balanced EPD profile with many who will sire calves that will meet the CAB® brand.
• Customer service is important to us. While this is not a life insurance policy or a free pass for mismanagement, we always try to live by the golden rule and do our best to have you as a repeat customer.
We are excited about the cattle, and so are the people that help us get them to the sale. The team here at Meyer Cattle are just as passionate about the cattle as Michele, Lexi, Jax and I are. Gavin Deters, Luke Cannon, Levi Wommack, Grant Hatton, and Cody Aslin truly help us make things happen on the farm. We are so grateful for them. James Morris and Gregg Billybob Zurliene are essential to the operation at the San Angelo Farm. Also, Mike and Tanner Ellison help us immensely get the cattle clipped and presented and continue to do a great job for us.
Join us Friday, April 3 at the farm for food, Angus fellowship, and good Angus cattle. We appreciate you and the relationships we have built. There are no better people than cattle people and we look forward to continuing our Angus relationships.

by Sally Northcutt
When you get your performance-tested bull(s) home, observing these management practices will result in the best reproductive performance.
Remember, the bull is a yearling or long yearling and still has some growing to do. Feed the young bull well. Hay and grain plus a protein supplement will be adequate. You should feed five to ten pounds of grain and one to two pounds of protein supplement in addition to full feed of good quality hay from now until the start of the season. Continue to feed liberally so the bull will grow out well.
Plan to use the new bull in a restricted 45-60 day breeding season the first time. Observe him closely to be sure he is servicing and settling females.
The yearling bull should be used on a minimal number of cows or heifers. The number should be governed by his age at the start of the breeding season. The following is a guide:
MANAGEMENT + HOUSING
The bull should be kept in a well-fenced lot prior to and following the breeding season. A shed or other natural windbreak should be provided. Supply plenty of clean water and minerals free-choice. Treat routinely for lice and grub worms. Run bulls together with caution. Bulls of similar age which have bred cows together will usually work. Check for any unsoundness which might develop. Test annually for Brucellosis and Leptiospirosis. Vaccinate for IBR, PI3, BVD and Lepto.

BREEDING GUARANTEE
We believe all bulls to be fertile and have passed a breeding soundness exam 30 days prior to the sale. All bulls sell with a first breeding season guarantee. Breeding season is defined as 90 days after the first day the bull is exposed to cows. Bulls selling for $4000 or more are guaranteed against breeding injury for the first season, defined at a 90 day period following the first turnout of the bull. The bull may be replaced with another bull if one is available. Or a credit may be given for the next sale less the salvage value of the injured bull. Please notify us as soon as the injury occurs and prior to the bull being sold. Replacement bulls are not covered by this guarantee. This policy does not cover neglect.
EPDs listed in the catalog are current at the printing of this catalog. Bulls with the HD50K logo have been tested and have Genomic Enhanced EPDs for increased accuracy. All EPDs listed in the catalog are current as of February 23, 2026. For updates, visit www.angus.org.

Stout and big growth. Out of the famed “057” donor from Valley Oaks and the mother of Meyer Prime. Prime is the Basin Angus sire and the high seller at the 2023 Meyer Cattle Sale. Ratioed 100 at both weaning and yearling and boasted an adjusted yearling of 1354.

This was the most anticipated calf of 2024. Out of Lexi and Jax’s heifer “Seven” who was the Reserve Grand Champion Heifer at the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville, KY. “Five” is his name and we believe him to be so very special. Stout made, deep bodied and so structurally sound. If Jax was a year older, he would show this bull. He is super complete, sound, and gentle.

When we purchased EXAR Cash 3622B with Basin Angus, this bull is what we were hoping for. Growth, big middled, and he breeds the cattle up. We like this bull a lot. Heifer safe, yet doesn’t sacrifice growth.

EXAR Cash 3622B

Heifer bull with grow that weighs up at both weighing periods. Cash has a big influence on his next generation.

Growth, marbling, and milk in this bull. He ratioed 110 at weaning and 105 at yearling. Meyer Prime was the $30,000 top selling bull to Basin Angus and is now at ORIgen. We are excited about his calf crop.

We love the Connealy Commerce cattle and this bull is a representation of why. They are good looking and well balanced both on paper and phenotypically. He ratioed 100 at weaning and yearling.

Heifer bull with growth and milk. This bull is nice and one I would keep heifers out of. He ratioed a 105 at weaning and a 104 at yearling.

So much growth and out of a Pathfinder cow of Lexi’s. Weaning EPD of 105 and yearling EPD of 174. He ratioed 115 at weaning and 110 at yearling. His mother has a bull in the sale every year. Buy with confidence.
