Fellow Cattlemen, We are excited to invite you to Meyer Cattle on April 1. This year, we celebrate our 10th Performance in the Pasture sale. It is always interesting and humbling to look back to where you started, how you have grown, and then look forward to where you want to be. We started this sale at my dad’s barn selling 15 bulls. Today, we are offering you 45 bulls, 20 cows that were all born and raised on our farm that carry the Meyer prefix, 7 show heifers and flushes on some of the breed’s elite former show heifers. Growth is challenging and fun, and stretches you to be better each day. That is our family goal. Better. Better cattle, better management, better choices each day. Better. We feel that this offering reflects that goal.

About the bulls. We strive to develop bulls that are honest in their kind and keep a commonsense approach when developing them. We develop these bulls slowly on a high roughage diet in large lots for plenty of exercise. We realize that you are investing in your bull and want him to be there for the long haul. These bulls are full of red meat, not fat and we believe this ensures the feet and legs of the cattle also. We stand behind these bulls 100%. If for any reason you have an issue with the bull you purchase, we want to know. You have made an investment with us, and we stand behind our product.

About the cows and heifers. We are proud of the females we are offering you. They have volume, muscle, and are sure to do a great job for you, on your farm. The show heifers have tremendous opportunity. All breeding and calving information is included, and updates will be available on sale day. Please call us with questions.

Our operation has grown over the past ten years, and I think it’s appropriate to thank the people that helped us get there. I would like to thank my wife Michele Meyer, my dad Robert Meyer, Lexi Koelling, Gregg Zurliene, James Morris, Luke Cannon, Walker Johnson, Gavin Deters, Levi Wommack, and Mike Ellison. Thanks also to our vet, Dr. David Hudson with Canton Vet Clinic, he is vital to this sale and our operation. We couldn’t do the day to day around Meyer Cattle without them. There are a lot of moving parts to our operation from the showbarn to the calving barn to the feedlot. Thanks to our past customers that have supported us. BREEDING GUARANTEE We believe all bulls to be fertile and have passed a breeding soundness exam 30 days prior to the sale. All bulls sell with a first breeding season guarantee. Breeding season is defined as 90 days after the first day the bull is exposed to cows. If any injury should occur, the buyer must notify Meyer Cattle Company prior to culling the injured bull.

Meyer Cattle will replace the bull with one of equal value or a credit for the purchase price minus the salvage value of the bull.

LK Intuition “Trigger” is the Champion Bred and Owned Bull at the Western Regional Angus Show in Reno, Nevada and the Reserve Champion Bull Calf in the American Angus Association Roll of Victory Angus Show Point System. Out of a cow called “Ruth” that Shelby Skinner influenced the purchase of from Travis Pembrook, some outstanding cattlemen and women are behind the breeding of this bull. However, Trigger is more than a show bull. He is the real deal. Long, thick, and sound and has a data package that is solid. Use him on heifers or cows and you will not be disappointed. We really like this bull. He is loaded with shape and muscle. He has tremendous frame and body. We rely on the power of the cow and believe this guy is as good as they come from a maternal standpoint. The 7623 cow is a mainstay here at Meyer Cattle and her mating with Plus One is all the things that make us happy. We think you will agree. If you watch your cattle through to the rail like we do, you will appreciate this bulls carcass data also. His marbling EPD is outstanding.
