Our goal here is to produce and promote a high quality product that will not only be highly productive and profitable for our program, but also to all of you as the new owners. This Spring we decided to disperse our Shorthorn herd and genetics in its entirety. We have been raising Shorthorn cattle for several years so this was no easy decision. We have numerous friends in the Shorthorn breed that we will continue to do business with and stay in touch. Our main focus going forward will be to raise purebred Angus and Simmental seedstock with a splash of crossbreeding. Additionally, we will focus on an elite bred heifer group to offer to our customers each and every year. To you juniors that purchase projects, we are here to help each and everyone of you as needed. TERMS & CONDITIONS Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or check payable to Aegerter Marketing Services. Payment to be made to the clerk immediately following the sale and before the cattle are removed from Gana Farms. Purchasers or their representative must sign the bill of sale prior to leaving the sale site. Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due & expected within 10 days of sale. Insurance will be available for your purchase at the sale through AMS. Contact either their representative or the clerk at the settlement desk. Health: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states. All vaccinations are up-to-date, and cattle born at Gana Farms have been vaccinated. A list will be available on sale day listing any non-vaccinations. Genetic Conditions: All cattle are free of all genetic conditions to the best of our knowledge. Cattle sell under their appropriate breed association standard breeding guarantees.
Flushes & DNA: We reserve one flush of eight or more grade 1 or 2 embryos at our expense on all females selling. We also retain, at our expense, the opportunity to obtain a DNA cell line for cloning purposes on all cattle selling in this sale. Retained flushes to take place at the convenience of the buyer at a location of their choice. We will pay all normal costs associated with the flush. Liability: Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for by the sellers for a reasonable amount of time. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager or other affiliated personnel can be responsible for any accidents, but they will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending. Announcements made sale day will take precedence over printed material in this catalog. Breeding Update/Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog.
