As I write this, harvest in in full swing on the Northern Plains. After enduring a punishing winter and corresponding late spring, the yield reports coming in are strong, and, we head into fall with a volume of grass. This, coupled with record high cattle prices are reason for optimism! Another is the ever-growing demand for Shorthorn cattle! We have assumed an enviable position within the industry. Why? The Shorthorn mother cow. She is quiet. She is adaptable. She gets pregnant. She lasts.

On November 4th, you will have the opportunity to select stock from the single largest offering of Shorthorn cattle in the world. I am confident in saying this years set is the best ever assembled, and, it’s not even close.

GENERAL SALE INFORMATION Flushing: All consignors retain a flush on all females selling from their program. The flush will be at our expense and the buyer’s convenience with a guarantee of six grade one embryos.

Mailed Bids: Mailed or telephoned bids will be handled in a most confidential manner. If you are unable to attend the sale personally, simply contact a representative of the sale far enough in advance prior to sale day.

They will be able to assist you at ringside on sale day.

Terms And Conditions: Terms of the sale are cash. Settlement is to be made with the clerk immediately following the sale and before cattle are removed from the premises.

Update On Breeding And Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog.

Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due within 10 days following the date of the sale. At 10 days, a two percent service charge will be added to the unpaid balance and an additional two percent will be added every 30 days thereafter unless previous arrangements have been made with the owners.

Liability: Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for by the sellers for a reasonable amount of time. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager or other affiliated personnel can be responsible for any accidents, but they will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending.

Health: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states. All cows tested negative for TB, BVD-PI3 and Johne’s Disease. Cows vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold and wormed. Calves have had Bovi-Shield Gold, Vision-7 and Cydectin.

Insurance will be available at the settlement desk upon conclusion of the sale.­­ Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over all printed material in this catalog.

291K is a direct daughter of Ember, from the dam of Chain Reaction, and, Forsaken, herd sires for Paint Valley and the Studer Family. The Chain Reactions have been showing up for a few years in the dams of some pretty stout cattle in OH. Nate says Forsaken is getting some pretty good cows for company in Creston. Value here.

Update On Breeding And Calving Information: There will be added information available at the sale site that will list any additions to the catalog information as to new calves born and new breeding information that will occur after the printing of this catalog.

Billed Accounts: All billed accounts are due within 10 days following the date of the sale. At 10 days, a two percent service charge will be added to the unpaid balance and an additional two percent will be added every 30 days thereafter unless previous arrangements have been made with the owners.

Liability: Each animal will be at the buyer’s risk as soon as sold, but will be cared for by the sellers for a reasonable amount of time. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager or other affiliated personnel can be responsible for any accidents, but they will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending.

Health: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states. All cows tested negative for TB, BVD-PI3 and Johne’s Disease. Cows vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold and wormed. Calves have had Bovi-Shield Gold, Vision-7 and Cydectin.

Insurance will be available at the settlement desk upon conclusion of the sale.­­ Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over all printed material in this catalog.
