Welcome from SALES MANAGEMENT On behalf of the Bohrson Marketing team, it is our privilege to welcome you to the 14th Chapter of the Brooking Angus Ranch Open Book Invitational. What began as an innovative concept has grown into one of the most anticipated female events on the Canadian Angus calendar, and each year the Open Book continues to raise the bar for quality, presentation and opportunity. There is something special about an event that has developed such a strong identity of its own. The Open Book Invitational has become synonymous with elite Angus females, progressive genetics and programs that are committed to making a lasting impact. Over the years, countless females from this sale have gone on to become donor cows, show champions, herd-building females and influential genetics in programs across North America. That history gives this event tremendous credibility, but it is the consistency of the offering that keeps breeders coming back year after year. Chapter 14 is another outstanding representation of that philosophy. The strength of this offering lies not only in the individual lots, but in the depth of quality represented throughout the catalogue. From exciting young heifer calves and powerful bred females to opportunities in proven cow families and genetics with tremendous future potential, there are numerous avenues to find a female that can make a meaningful difference in your program. We also want to recognize the outstanding group of consignors who make the Open Book Invitational what it is. These breeders have selected from the heart of their programs to bring females that they genuinely believe in, and that confidence is evident throughout the offering. The combination of the Brooking Angus Ranch foundation and this exceptional group of invited breeders makes for a catalogue that deserves serious evaluation. The timing of this event could not be better. With unprecedented strength and optimism throughout the beef industry, investing in females that can generate productivity, longevity and marketable progeny has never been more important. Whether your goal is to build a foundation female, add another donor prospect, strengthen your replacement pen or simply inject a new genetic direction into your herd, the Open Book offers opportunities to do exactly that. Most importantly, we encourage you to make the trip to Radville and experience the Open Book Invitational in person. The hospitality, atmosphere and people surrounding this event are every bit as impressive as the cattle. For those unable to attend, our entire Bohrson Marketing team is available to discuss the offering, assist with selections and represent your interests on sale day. We sincerely congratulate Justin, Tawnie and the Brooking family on another outstanding chapter of the Open Book Invitational, and we thank every consignor for allowing us to be a part of this tremendous event. We look forward to seeing you October 24th at Brooking Angus Ranch for Chapter 14 of the Open Book Invitational. Best Regards, The Bohrson Marketing Team

This year is special and so is this year’s donation heifer, we dug deep! Selling out of tickets this year will put us over the $100,000 for giving back directly to the juniors! This top end heifer will be given to a junior between the ages of 8-18. To win the heifer, an entry needs to be purchased in the name of a junior that is an active member of 4-H or a junior association and is a Canadian citizen. We will draw a name and that lucky junior owns this heifer! 7 more names will also be drawn and they will receive up to $2000 bursary to purchase a heifer (heifer calf or bred heifer) from any breeder, (purebred or commercial) in Canada. Proof of purchase is required. The funds will be transferred directly to the seller of the heifer. Purchase must be made by December 31, 2027. A maximum of 140 entries for $100 each will be on offer and all of the money raised will be donated directly back to our junior’s future herds! You may purchase more than one entry per junior but can only win once. If you have been lucky enough to have won the heifer in previous years you are not eligible to participate. ENTRIES MUST BE PURCHASED BY OCT. 23/26. WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FACEBOOK LIVE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24TH BEFORE THE SALE.

To purchase an entry, you can either email us at brookingangus@outlook.com, text/call at 306-861-4155 or PM on Facebook.

Thank you for all the support

$89,000 has been given back to these juniors & junior organizations by funds raised from the last 8 years of donation heifers.

2500169 - JSTN 185P - February 14 2026 - BW 89 In maintaining the tradition of offering something truly special as our Lot 1, we wanted to offer the choice of two special ladies. We feel they hold the same standard of quality you have come to expect as the features at Brooking. They will be the first heifers to sell out of our $270,000 Brooking TW 4022. Their dam has quickly become one of the more potent donors at Brooking. A maternal sister, Brooking Royal Lass 5156, was last year’s high-selling female at $110,000 to ZWT Ranch. Another maternal sister, Brooking Royal Lass 4207, sold for $70,000 to an elite group of breeders in Mexico and Argentina - El Sauz, San Martin, Tres Marias, and Resolano. I feel the type and kind of these heifers are hard to come by and are in an elite league. The kind to build a cow family around and reap the rewards for years to come. Offering 100% interest in the choice of 6185 or 6064, or 50% interest in both heifers, possession is negotiable.

She is a full sister to last year’s Lot 1 heifer that sold for $110,000 to ZWT Ranch. We absolutely love this heifer as she is our kind and puts everything together. She is a mirror image of her sister in last year’s sale. On individual appraisal, we love her type and kind. We admire her beautiful head, balance, structure, level hip, deep flank, added substance, and strong maternal presence. Her dam is one of our absolute favourite young cows— a true standout. She is sired by the $165,000 outcross sire, Musgrave OG 513, who is a leader for growth and power. Brooking Royal Lass 6032 will be the only Musgrave OG daughter to sell in Canada this year. Then top that off, she is out of one of our most potent donors, Brooking Royal Lass 2116. Check out her maternal sisters in lot 1 and 2. We wanted to showcase one of our favourite daughters of the $95,000 Brooking Tradition 4064 initial calf crop. We are loving what we are seeing so far. They are stamped consistently like his sire with big square hips, straight wide top, and full into their forerib. With ideal Angus character and head shape. We love the sons in the bull pen. A maternal brother to Brooking Beauty 6010, sold for $52,500 to W Sunrise this past spring, and we also used him in the Brooking breeding program. Make sure to find her maternal sister sired by External Law in the bred heifer section. Dam

Brooking Rose 5054 is a special sale feature and is a personal favourite bred in the offering. She has many key essential ingredients needed to be a foundation league female. Physically, she has a maternal presence as she is ideal in her head, long-bodied, with a sweeping rib cage, shows ideal teat size and placement, and has a high-quality phenotype. Genetically, she is impressively stacked in every direction of her pedigree. There are breed-leading females on every single line. Her dam, Brooking Rose 0083, has earned her way to stardom and is now owned with Flying Pig Ranch.

We have a massive, made, soggy, ribbed, and extra stout daughter of our resident herdsire, SAV Theory 2914. Theory sat most of the year as the number 1 semen seller for Sire Buyer in the US. Much of his popularity is from repeat buyers. His sons are stout, made, wide-topped, masculine, and muscular. His daughters are docile, extremely easy-fleshing, nice-headed, and have nice udders. Brooking Rose 5101 is possibly one of the most massive ribbed females you can find. Her picture doesn’t do her justice. The best idea is to drive to Brooking and see her in the flesh.

ULTRASOUND DUE DATE: APRIL 5 Brooking Beauty 5092 has been a favourite of visitors to the ranch since she was a baby. She is incredibly massive-made and has a huge sweeping rib cage from her chest that carries into a deep flank. With this wild amount of mass, she still is pretty in her head and holds it high. Her $95,000 sire, KT Jack Smash, did an excellent job and comes as no surprise as his dam is a full sister to the amazing $750,000-valued Coleman Donna 9275. We absolutely love the dam, Brooking Beauty 1030. She is long-bodied, angular-fronted, huge-ribbed, with a beautiful head. Grass Roots P Bros Beauty 531 is a good-sized heifer with a deep rib cage and stands on extra substance of bone. Her sire has consistently sired stout, made-marketable cattle. I loved the dam of Dominion at Bar-E-L; she was easy-fleshing and good-looking. The grandam, Brooking Beauty 8062, has been a source of performance and power. SIRE: TRES MARIAS C237

Paternal Brother

Introducing Brooking Mr. Tres Marias 5150, who is one of the most unique and high-quality outcross bulls we have ever come across. He is the result of an embryo from one of the supreme Angus operations in the world, Tres Marias. Tres Marias is one of the oldest and most successful Angus operations in Argentina and recognized around the world. We were honoured to acquire their absolute best and favourite genetics. Brooking Mr. Tres Marias 5150 is extremely impressive in person, to say the least. He has true Angus character in his head with a broad muzzle, holds his head high on the move, is extremely sound, is quiet-natured, yet has a high libido, straight-topped, good-footed, easy-fleshing, and stout-made. He had incredible hair in the winter and slicked off in the summer. In one collection, he froze 370 straws of nearly perfect semen. Dr. Rob Stables said it was among the best samples he has collected on a yearling bull. He is sired by Tres Marias Centenario, who was the 2025 Grand Champion bull at the world-famous Palermo show in Argentina. He was also Reserve Grand Champion in Palermo in 2022 as a calf. The dam, Tres Marias B768, is quoted by Francisco Gutierrez as Tres Marias’ best and favourite donor. She is sired by Serrucho, a Palermo two-time Grand Champion bull. Her maternal grandsire, Euro, was “sire of the year” several times in Argentina. Brooking Mr. Tres Marias 5150 bred 24 heifers naturally this spring and spent the summer on grass. The picture of him is 30 days after he was pulled from the heifers out on grass. He fleshed incredibly well. It seems everyone is in search of outcross calving ease genetics. Well, here he is. 60

She is most noted as the dam of the $95,000 Brooking Tradition 4064, who we absolutely love for his initial calf crop. Check out his daughter in this sale, a special highlight of the Evolution sale. We will also have some Tradition-sired bull calves on display at the sale as well. However, most importantly, check out the full sister to these embryos in this sale as Lot 6. She is entered at Farmfair and Agribition.

A) Koupals B&B Inevitable 509 - 3 embryos Brooking Beauty 4028 is exactly the kind of female we are striving to produce at Brooking. We hope that when you think of the Brooking kind, you imagine this female. She is just a twoyear-old female that has never had any special treatment and looks like she could win a show. Or be on the model of the Angus female. We love her Angus character as she is perfect in her head and is angular and feminine in her front end. She is ideal in her phenotype, is easy-fleshing, has an excellent udder, and stands on great feet. We have 5 full sisters, and all are ultra-high-level quality, showing the potency of this mating. The upside potential of these embryos is a new level.

She is visually impressive and one of the unique donor cows you will find anywhere. She has an overwhelming amount of mass, power, volume, and is combined with an attentive, attractive look. Moreover, she has a world-class quality udder and maternal appearance. I consider her to be one of the best Natural Law daughters I have ever seen. It’s a big statement when you consider Bar-E-L Erica 74A, Bar-E-L Bride 28C, and Brooking Countess 7077 are all daughters of Natural Law. This cow family is fertile and productive. Her dam, Brooking Beauty 333, has over $1.5 million in revenue, and Brooking Beauty 8187 is forecasted to follow suit. Her most noted son, Rust Forged of Fire, was the Supreme Champion bull at Farmfair International for KT Ranches. Another son, Brooking Chosen One, was a feature in our 2024 bull sale, selling for $45,000. A daughter was a $50,000 feature in last year’s Brooking female sale and went on to get the “glitter slap” at Farmfair’s junior show. Not to mention many others.

A) Brooking TW 4022 - 5 embryos - USA qualified Brooking Beauty 2058 is a moderate-framed female that is easyfleshing, has a good shape to her hips, heavy milking, and has a maternal look. She is the only daughter of Territory out of the famed Brooking Beauty 333 in existence, and we wish we had a lot of them. Her sire, Territory, is one of our favourite recent sires at Schaffs and was the reason why we purchased SAV Theory. The dam, Brooking Beauty 333, is our highest-income cow at Brooking, and she is most known for her ability to raise incredible daughters that are powerful, maternal, and have a high level of quality. Brooking Beauty 2058 is that next-generation donor who’ll have progeny on three continents this upcoming year. I feel Brooking TW 4022 will be the perfect blend to incorporate with this stout Beauty cow.

She started off as an $80,000 heifer calf to Lindskov’s LT Ranch and Duff Cattle Co. in Brooking’s 11th Annual Female sale. She went on to win many championships over the following two years, highlighted by First Lady Classic champion female overall breeds, Reserve Grand Champion Angus female at Agribition, Lady Elaine Bracket Champions and many others. Brooking Beauty 3068 is powerfully constructed as she is very wide-made, has massive ribs, is good-looking, and moves soundly with an excellent udder. She is the best of the best, combining Emerald and Beauty 333. This mating is the golden ticket that clicks every time. We have 5 full sisters that are all big-league.

A)Musgrave Primal 874-329 - 3 embryos Brooking Beauty 1266 is the highest valued female born at Brooking to sell at auction when she sold half interest for $100,000 to Steven Knutson and Rideau Angus. She had a decorated show career, winning many shows in her career. Her young daughters share her high-quality phenotype, big, long-sweeping rib cage, clean neck, and I forecast the same collection of banners to hang on the wall. Her dam, Brooking Beauty 6051, is the dam of many donors and most noted as the dam of Brooking Emerald 9179. We sorted 10 display donors off to showcase by the farm this summer, and by chance, all of them had Beauty 6051 in their pedigree. Musgrave Primal semen recently sold for $6500 per straw and is extremely hard to come by.

Check out her big, good, and heavy daughter by Brooking TW 4022 in this sale. One thing that I feel shows the potency of a pedigree is when you have multiple flush-mate sisters and they are all exactly the same and of high quality. Brooking Beauty 1046 is one of five full sisters, and they are all donor quality. They are all longbodied, angular-made, deep-bodied, stout-hipped with beautiful udders and heads. We have only ever sold one of them, and she brought $50,000 to Rancier, Maxwell, and Canadian Donors. We have two exclusive and elite low-birth-sire options on offer. Brooking Mr. Tres Marias will be displayed sale day, and he is a must-use sire. Musgrave Primal is in high demand and exclusive; his last semen sold for $6,500 per straw.

The dam, Brooking Dusty’s Countess 9026, was at the side of Countess 7077 when they won Supreme Champion at both Farmfair and Agribition. One of the biggest accomplishments for Brooking Angus Ranch is the $270,000 Brooking TW 4022, who is a son of Countess 9026 and maternal brother to Countess 3357.
