On behalf of Pigeon Mountain Simmentals, the guest consignors and sale staff for the Pigeon Mountain Spring “Beef Builder” Bull and Female Sale, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Armuchee, Georgia on February 22, 2020.

Pigeon Mountain Simmentals has been in the business of providing top quality bulls and females for over 40 years. Together with their guest consignors, they have brought a top offering of Simmental, Angus and SimAngus bulls and females to the table. These bulls have the total package of genetics and phenotype to help improve your bottom dollar on each calf crop.

The females are young and have a lifetime of top production ahead of them to make you money.

½ of the genetic makeup of each calf born in your herd comes from the bull. Consequently, higher quality herd sires are one of the most important tools and decisions in our commercial programs. Get the best bull you can afford as he will influence every single calf you raise! The Pigeon Mountain Spring “Beef Builder” Bull and Female Sale will be held at the Select Cattle Enterprises Sale Facility near Rome, Georgia. This facility will allow buyers to view the cattle in large runs for a greater ease of viewing prior to the sale. For precise directions please see the map and written directions on the inside back cover of this catalog.

General Information:

Feed Ration: Bulls were feed a specially formulated feed ration designed to produce a gain of approximately 3to 3.5 pounds per bull per day.

Health: All bulls and females have been vaccinated and boostered as dewormed.

Internet: The Pigeon Mountain Spring “Beef Builder” Bull and Female Sale catalog and videos may be viewed online at www.impactcattle.com.

Health: A veterinarian will be available sale day to write interstate health papers at no cost to the buyer. An update sale sheet will also be available sale day listing information not available at catalog press time.

Soundness: Every bull is guaranteed sound on the day of the sale to the best of our knowledge. All bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam within 30 days of the sale performed by Dr. Ben Benson, Villanow Animal Clinic or Dr. Bob Smalley of LaFayette, GA. Breeding Season Guarantee: Every bull has a 100% guarantee for one breeding season, provided that the bull is maintained in proper nutritional and physical health, not to exceed 6 months from sale date. Should a bull have a problem (health, injury, death) before or during the bull’s first breeding season, prior to August 22, 2020, the customer should contact the consignor of the bull. A veterinarian statement on the condition of the bull will be required for all claims and the consignor reserves the right to have the bull returned to the sale site. A replacement bull of equal quality will be provided if available with delivery expense the responsibility of the customer. If a replacement bull is not available, the customer will receive a credit to be used in a future PMS Sale from the consignor equal to the price paid for the original bull minus salvage value. The consignor will not be held responsible for any settlement value exceeding the purchase price of the bull.

Breeding Guarantee on females: Every bred female is guaranteed to be bred on sale day as stated in the sale catalog or as updated from the auctioneer at the time of the sale or on the update sheet provided at the sale. In the event any bred female is found to not be bred as sold, the customer needs to contact the consignor immediately and no later than August 22, 2020. The customer will be given a satisfactory credit to be used in a future PMS Sale or in a private treaty purchase from the consignor.

Trucking: Trucking can be arranged by sale management or consignors.

Lot Numbers: Ear tags on cattle correspond to the lot numbers in the catalog.

Terms and Conditions: The cattle sell under the standard terms and conditions recommended by the respective breed organizations. Payment must be made in full in the form of cash or good check on sale day, US dollars only.

Food: Breakfast and lunch will be available at the sale site with proceeds to benefit the Calhoun FFA who use all proceeds in sponsorship of the FFA livestock programs.

Absentee Bids: The sale manager or any member of the sale staff will be happy to assist you with your purchases. There will be no charge to you for this service and every effort will be made to insure your total satisfaction with your purchases.

Livestock Insurance: Livestock mortality insurance will be available for your purchases at the clerk’s desk and is required on all cattle when the sale staff or consignors arrange trucking.

EPD’s: EPD’s listed are the most current available at the time of catalog production.

Liability: Everyone attends the sale at his or her own risk. The sale manager, auctioneer, consignors, and Select Cattle Enterprises assume no liability whatsoever as to risk or personal injury.

Cattle are the liability of the buyer when the auctioneer says “Sold”. Every effort will be made by the sale crew to insure safe handling of the cattle through the sale and loadout process.

their bulls than other producers do. The most profitable producers know that a cheap, low quality bull can be your most

costly mistake. Remember a bull’s genetics makes up half the entire calf crop. Buying a good bull yields excellent returns on your investment.
