Dear Friends, Welcome to the final Shorthorns UpFront in the form of the “End of an Era.” I don’t know who first said it, but “All good things must come to an end.” Whoever it was must have known of what was to happen in Clarion, Iowa on May 28, 2016. It is time to appreciate the accomplishments and move on to new quests.

The offering in the “End of an Era” sale is a culmination of efforts put forth by numerous individuals pulling together to form an incredible team. The entire Pete Hunter family has been relentless in their dedication to the program. Jess Recknor and his crew have also given fully in their care of the CYT product and customer. The partnerships in cattle have produced incredible results. The involvement of my family has made things fun and produced everlasting memories. My unconditional appreciation goes to the entire team.

All of what has been done over the years would have been in vain if it was not for one important component in the program ... you, the customer. The support, loyality and cooperation from you has made all the “blood, sweat and tears” worthwhile. You are special to Cyclone Trace.

Pete and Jess, with the crew at Cyclone Trace, Jeff Aegerter with the sale management team and the Hagie family have worked diligently to make this day worthy of your participation. The selection put together should have something to fit anyone’s program, even something familiar to us “old-timers.”

What a ride it has been! How fortunate I have been! Being associated with the Shorthorn breed and the people in the breed over the last almost forty years has been a hoot. It has afforded me times that are matchless and for that I will be eternally greatful.

AIR TRAVEL: Des Moines International Airport is approximately 95 miles from the sale facility.

TERMS: This Sale is the Dispersion of the Cyclone Trace Breeding Program. The live cattle, embryos, and semen sell in their entirety.

Cyclone Trace and Sale Management will make every effort to provide as much information as possible about every lot selling, however, the buyer assumes all risk with his or her purchases and there is no further guarantee whatsoever at the time the auctioneer says sold. If a DNA profile is not available at the American Shorthorn Association on an AI Sire or Donor Dam, buyer will have to DNA test resultant calves. No AI Certificates will be provided on embryos or semen selling.

BILLED ACCOUNTS: All billed accounts are due and expected within 10 days of the sale date.

INSURANCE: Will be available for your purchase at the sale.

HEALTH: Each animal will be represented by a state approved health certificate for interstate shipment. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states.
