Terms of the sale are cash or check made payable to Aegerter Marketing Services, Inc., immediately following the sale and before the cattle are removed from the premises. Purchasers of their representatives must sign the bill of sale prior to leaving the sale. BILLED ACCOUNTS: All billed accounts are due and expected within 10 days of the sale date. At 10 days, a two percent service charge will be added to the unpaid balance and an additional two percent will be added every 30 days thereafter.

On behalf of everyone at KOLT Cattle we would like to invite you to Simple Choices 2014 on Sunday October 5th.

With out a doubt this is as exciting of an offering as you are going to find in the Shorthorn breed this year. We are selling every donor in use at Kolt Cattle to date, we are also offering every purebred heifer calf on the place, nothing held back. This includes several National and Junior National Champions as well as several other major show winners. The unique part of these cows is that they are being offered in the prime of their life, they are all very fertile, and many are bred to today’s leading Sires.

The biggest part of my life for the last 20 years has been showing and selling Shorthorn cattle. This is not something that is going to change any time soon. We will again have 200 embryo calves next spring, with the majority of them being Shorthorns.

Selling these cows I feel will provide a bit of a stimulus to the breed and certainly our customers. Spreading out these blood lines will only allow them to grow and be promoted the way they should be. I have been able to get two or three out of each cow offered, can you imagine what 10 or 12 would be worth? And with today’s technology, you can get 10 or 12 head from one unit of semen! The possibilities are endless.

The heifer calves offered again are the cattle that will represent Kolt Cattle for the next year. We put every ounce of faith we have in these cattle that they will compete at the highest level and have been fortunate that our customers have done the same. I am as excited as ever to have this great set of cattle because Junior Nationals is right here in our home state this year in Grand Island! We have been very lucky to work with the top kids in the breed and their families and sincerely feel that this year will be the best ever! Customer service is job number one at KOLT and hope to expand this as our program grows. For the first time ever we are offering a deep set of other breeds cattle, these gals are really fun to work with and I can’t wait to see how they develop.

Like any program the people around you are what make it work. 100% of the reason we have been so successful is the team of people we work with every day. To the Hirschfelds and Brandes families, these guys are finally starting to figure out that I am not just another fast talker pulling into their lane. Jeff, Darla and Kane Aegerter continue to make being at the barn a joy every day. Dylan Souter a.k.a. Scooter, has been a tremendous relief of every day duties and has been great for my kids. It takes a lot of people and time to get this done and without the young kids that stop by from time to time to help we couldn’t get it done. Thanks Axial, Andy, Adam, Logan, and every now and then Wes and Michael.
