Bozeman Pass Ranch Tract 5 is home to a diverse range of wildlife, encompassing upland birds, raptors, big game animals, and various other species. Within the area, a prominent elk herd is often observed grazing on the native grass and seen along the ridges throughout the year. The location offers numerous opportunities for bird-watching, particularly for magnificent species such as bald eagles, sandhill cranes, and other native and migratory birds.
During the autumn season, Montana has long been recognized as a sought-after destination for hunting elk, whitetail deer, and mule deer. Bozeman Pass Ranch Tract 5 serves as a suitable range and habitat for a diverse array of animals, including elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, coyotes, pronghorn antelope, bald eagles, golden eagles, moose, and a variety of other fascinating creatures that may not be immediately apparent but are nonetheless remarkable.
Merely a short 10± minute drive from the ranch lies one of the world’s premier destinations for trout fishing—the Yellowstone River. Stretching across an impressive 554± miles, the Yellowstone River is the longest unobstructed river in the contiguous United States. The Yellowstone originates in the Wyoming mountains and gracefully flows until merging with the Missouri River. This majestic river offers exceptional opportunities for both floating and wade fishing.

Near the Bozeman Pass Ranch Tract 5, three exceptional spring creek fisheries exist- Nelson’s, Depuy’s, and O’Hair’s (also known as Armstrong’s). The spring creeks boast over five miles of pristine water, recognized as some of the finest spring creek fishing spots worldwide. The fisheries consistently provide excellent fishing conditions, even during the winter months. The spring creeks emerge from the earth and possess a generous flow of nutrient-rich water, nurturing abundant aquatic life, including a thriving wild trout population.
The expansive mountain ranges, picturesque meadows, meandering streams, and verdant valleys offer abundant recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. From horseback riding to hiking, backpacking to bird watching, mountain biking to cross-country skiing, there is no shortage of activities to indulge in and explore amidst this breathtaking landscape.
For winter sports enthusiasts, Bridger Bowl Ski Area, a local favorite, is conveniently located 30± minutes from the property. Meanwhile, Big Sky Resort, renowned as one of the country’s largest and premier ski areas, is approximately 1.5± hours drive away.

Situated approximately 60± minutes south on Highway 89 through Paradise Valley, Yellowstone National Park beckons with its awe-inspiring wonders. The park’s north entrance provides swift access to the Lamar Valley, a sanctuary teeming with populations of elk, bighorn sheep, mule and white-tailed deer, coyotes, wolves, antelope, eagles, moose, black bears, grizzly bears, and a myriad of other captivating wildlife. Rare and endangered species testify to the untamed wilderness and pristine nature of our nation’s first national park.
