We run a registered purebred Black Angus herd of roughly 120 head. Ranch raised, our cattle are neither pushed nor pampered. One of our targets is genetic performance and we don't use any growth promotants. We also focus on longevity and many of our dams produce very successfully each year until 16 years old. We calve onto green grass May and June. Bulls are fertile, fit not fat, with sound legs and feet. Kala Traveler, born on our ranch, has served us especially well and his offspring are in high demand. Buyers like the growth and depth through the ribs on the sires, and the heifers inherit strong maternal traits.
traits. All of our bulls are renowned for fertility, docility and handling, plus calving ease. We have on offer virgin bulls coming 2 years old in May. All bulls are vet checked and semen tested. SC and semen results available during viewing and on sale day. Our replacement heifers in this sale have been vet checked for soundness as well. Calves all get two doses each Covexin and Express FP 5, and Ivermectin pour-on every time they run through the squeeze. Registrations are transferred to the new owners following the sale. Viewing of animals in the afternoon the day prior at VJV Dawson Creek. Come on down and meet us!

Kris’ favourite. Some boys are just handsome. Fleshy and deep through the rib cage and square, showing off that Aberdeen Angus conformation just like his sire. A beautiful thick coat. Docile and gentle disposition. Another Traveler son with straight Canadian genetics out of Georgina 70Z.

This deep bodied bull is another Traveler son on offer out of Georgina 24Z. He’s got the same maternal grand-dam as Equation 2G who produced sound healthy calves till 16 years old. Traveler 8G has a little more height to him than Prince 4G but with that same depth through his ribs. Really nice calves will be coming off this boy.

We love Traveler 6C’s sons and so do our buyers. 14G is a Traveler offspring out of Georgina 25Z with straight Canadian genetics. Unbelievable longevity coming from both sire and dam gene pools. If you’re holding back heifers for long term use in your herd, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Legacy 20G’s BW isn’t a typo. Look at the height, length and growth he has to offer with that low BW! A serious contender if you’re sick of pulling calves but not ready to sacrifice growth. A Traveler son out of Georgina 7Y with straight Canadian genetics, he offers the square frame and depth we’ve come to expect out of these 2 genetic lineages. Legacy 20G is really calm and a pleasure to work with.
