We run a registered purebred Black Angus herd of roughly 120 head. Ranch raised, our cattle are neither pushed nor pampered. One of our targets is genetic performance and we don’t use any growth promotants. We also focus on longevity and many of our dams produce very successfully each year until 16 years old. We calve onto green grass May and June. Bulls are fertile, fit not fat, with sound legs and feet. Kala Legacy Traveler 6C, born on our ranch, has served us especially well and his offspring are in high demand. Buyers like the growth and depth through the ribs on the sires, and the heifers inherit strong maternal traits. All of our bulls are renowned for
fertility, docility and handling ease, plus calving ease. This year’s bulls, like last year’s, have thick beautiful coats that can handle the cold. We have on offer 12 virgin bulls coming 2 years old in May and June. All bulls are vet checked and semen tested. SC and semen results available during viewing and on sale day. Calves all get two doses each of Covexin and Express FP 5, and Ivermectin pour-on regularly. Registrations are transferred to the new owners following the sale. Viewing of animals in the afternoon the day prior at VJV Dawson Creek. Come on down and meet us!

Now here is a smooth bull! One of our favourites, this Powerline bull comes out of a strong line-up of deep broody Tibbie dams renowned for their maternal traits and longevity. His granddam, Black Gem Tibbie 108R produced calves faithfully every year till she passsed this year at age 17! He’s got the Tibbie Aberdeen build renowned for being meat packers. Grandsires are Remitall Chisum 77Z and Heart Valley Jessy 122B. A great bull for calving ease.

Another Legacy Traveler son out of a Georgina 24Z dam. Unbelievable production and longevity coming out of both gene pools. 4H’s grand-dam, Crowfoot Georgina 2436M gave us 4 sets of twins and produced hardy calves until 16 years old. His mother is one of those twins that we held back and has given us strong vibrant calves every year. 6H offers the square frame and depth we’ve come to expect out of these 2 genetic lineages.
