Protection Course

W. R. MEADOWS

Protection Course is a multi-ply, semi-rigid core composed of a mineral-fortified asphalt core formed between two outside layers of asphalt-impregnated reinforced mats.

Mel-Rol Mel-Rol waterproofing system is a flexible, versatile, dependable, roll-type waterproofing membrane. It is composed of a nominally 56 mil thick layer of polymeric waterproofing membrane on a heavy-duty, 4 mil thick, cross-laminated polyethylene carrier film.

Precon Precon is used as a blindside membrane in vertical applications where access to the positive side is limited. The membrane can also be used for horizontal applications for underslab waterproofing and vaporproofing.

Hydrastop SBW Hydrastop SBW is a 60 mil composite, self-adhered sheet membrane comprised of a non-woven fabric, elastomeric membrane, and coated release paper.

Once concrete is poured against HYDRASTOP SBW and the concrete cures, a mechanical bond forms that secures the concrete to the membrane.

PerminatorÂŽ PerminatorÂŽ underslab vapor barrier can also be used as a protection course for waterproofing membranes. The desired sheet lengths are cut to size and retained at the top of the waterproofing membrane by PERMINATOR TAPE or TERMINATION BAR. PERMINATOR 10 mil is also ideal for use over horizontal applications of MEL-ROL LM.

Mel-Drain Mel-Drain drainage board is designed to remove moisture from around footings and relieve hydrostatic head pressures. Eight versions are available.

Mel-Dek Mel-Dek waterproofing system provides an excellent waterproofing membrane for bridges, parking decks or other vehicular traffic structures to be overlaid with an asphaltic concrete wearing course. Ideal for repair, maintenance or new construction applications.

Underseal® PRM

Underseal® Blindside Membrane

Underseal® PRM™ is a strong, self-adhering, 65 mil, post-concrete pour sheet waterproofing membrane/vapor retarder with a double thick, high-strength, cross-laminated polyethylene backing laminated to a thick layer of rubberized asphalt compound. Underseal® PRM™ adheres tightly and permanently to concrete and the backing forms a continuous barrier to water and moisture vapor entry.

Underseal® PRM™ can be used in both horizontal and vertical applications.

Underseal® Blindside™ Membrane is a 73 mil, pre-concrete pour, strong sheet membrane waterproofing with a thick, cross-laminated, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) backing, laminated to a thick layer of proprietary waterproofing adhesive compound integrated into a nonwoven geotextile fabric.

Underseal® Blindside™ Membrane is used as a waterproofing membrane where vertical, positive-side waterproofing is required, but access to the positive side is impossible due to the soil retention system. Once the concrete is poured against the Blindside™ membrane, the concrete cures and a mechanical bond forms to secure the concrete to the membrane.

Also, subsequent to concrete placement, cold flow of the waterproofing compound will take place and an adhesive bond will be added to the mechanical bond given by the fibers.

With both a mechanical and adhesive bond, the concrete will be tightly sealed and bonded to the membrane, creating superior protection against moisture intrusion. 73 mil Underseal® Blindside™can also be used in certain horizontal applications.

VERTICAL APPLICATION: Underseal® PRM™ can be used in protected wall applications when applied to the exterior sides of vertical concrete foundation walls, tunnels, and related applications where waterproofing is critical. It allows for faster waterproofing applications by eliminating the step to install an additional protection course prior to backfilling operations.

HORIZONTAL APPLICATION: Underseal® PRM™ can be applied to horizontal slab applications such as parking garages, plaza decks, plywood decks and related applications and allows for concrete topping slab installation without the need for a separate protection course in most situations.

WATERPROOFING & SEALANTS

650 Sheet Membrane 650 sheet membrane is a strong, pliable, 60 mil, post-concrete pour self-adhesive waterproofing membrane/vapor retarder that virtually eliminates water and vapor transmission through concrete slabs.

650 sheet membrane is designed for use on concrete for foundation waterproofing, mud slabs, sills and spandrel beams, tunnels, plaza decks, parking garages, and related applications where waterproofing is critical.

It may also be used on wood or concrete block structures and insulated concrete forms. (ICF).

Sikaplan® WP 1130-25C

Carlisle CCW-703 Liquiseal liquid-applied membrane is a two-component polyurethane waterproofing system. It is self-curing, forming a seamless, impermeable coating that bonds tightly to an appropriate substrate, preventing the lateral transfer of water.

Sikaplan® WP 1130 is a sheet waterproofing membrane with a signal layer comprised of polyvinylchloride with an integral fiberglass mat carrier sheet for dimensional stability.

The membrane signal layer is yellow and the underside is gray.

SikaProof® A-05 SikaProof®A is a pre-applied sheet membrane waterproofing system consisting of an embossed, highly flexible polyolefin membrane (FPO) with a unique sealant grid pattern and a specially designed non-woven fleece. This exclusive system build-up creates a full and

CCW MiraDRI 860-P CCW 860-P System is an enhanced waterproofing system designed for horizontal applications. The 860-P system requires 60 mils of CCW Liquideck and a layer of CCW MiraDRI 860/861 over the deck and is required for CCW Ultra Warranties.

GCP Applied Technologies (formerly WR Grace) Bituthene® 3000 Bituthene® is ideal for waterproofing concrete decks where in-service temperatures will not exceed 130 °F (54 °C).

It can be applied to split slab construction, such as in plaza areas and parking decks.

Interior uses may include mechanical rooms, laboratories, kitchens and bathrooms.

Bituthene® 4000 Bituthene® System 4000 Waterproofing Membrane is a 1/16 in. (1.5 mm) flexible, pre-formed membrane which combines a high performance, cross laminated, HDPE carrier film with a unique, super tacky, self-adhesive rubberized asphalt compound.

Bituthene® System 4000 Surface Conditioner is a unique, water-based, latex surface treatment which imparts an aggressive, high tack finish to the treated substrate.

It is specifically formulated to bind site dust and concrete eforescence, thereby providing a suitable surface for the Bituthene® System 4000 Waterproofing Membrane.

UNDERSLAB WATERPROOFING Polyguard Products Underseal® Underslab Membrane Underseal® Underslab Membrane is a tough, 85 mil pre-concrete pour waterproofing membrane/vapor barrier designed to virtually eliminate water and vapor transmission through concrete slabs on grade.

In addition to protecting floor finishes and indoor air quality, Underseal® Underslab Membrane also acts as a barrier to methane and radon gas.

Underseal® Underslab Membrane provides a continuous seal underneath the foundation slab. A strong mechanical bond is developed between the membrane and concrete at time of pouring as the concrete intermingles with the fibers of the nonwoven geotextile.

Underseal® Underslab Membrane is typically installed horizontally over a prepared sub base such as compacted soil, mud slab or #57 stone. 85 mil Underseal® Underslab can also be used in vertical applications.

Carlisle CCW-711-70 CCW-711-70 is a 70-mil pre-pave sheet membrane waterproofing system specifically designed for use in DOT projects as a waterproofing membrane on structural slabs.

W. R. MEADOWS Precon Precon is a composite sheet membrane comprised of a non-woven fabric, elastomeric membrane, and W. R. MEADOWS’ exclusive, patented plasmatic core (U.S. Patent No. 7,179,761). The plasmatic core is a seven-layer matrix designed for toughness and provides the lowest water vapor transmission (WVT) rating on the market.

Once concrete is poured against PRECON and the concrete cures, a mechanical bond forms that secures the concrete to the membrane.

GCP Applied Technologies (formerly WR Grace) Preprufe® Preprufe® utilizes GCP’s Advanced Bond Technology to create a continuous, integral and permanent adhesive bond to concrete.

Leaks from groundwater, storm water runoff or irrigation water may impact the foundation of any building that’s improperly waterproofed — and when concrete is involved, there any number of ways that water can travel into and around a structure.

LIQUID APPLIED BELOW GRADE WATERPROOFING BASF MasterSeal HLM 5000 MasterSeal HLM 5000 is a one-component, moisture-curing, bitumen-modified polyurethane elastomeric waterproofing membrane for exterior below-grade or between-slab applications.

Sika Sikalastic-320 NS / SL / SG Single Component, Bitumen Modified Waterproofing Membrane Sikalastic® 320 is a single component, liquid applied, bitumen modified, coal tar free, moisture cured polyurethane waterproofing membrane available in self-leveling, non-sag and sprayable consistency.

W. R. MEADOWS BEM BEM is a one-component, cold-applied, non-slump waterproofing material that can be used for a variety of applications with building envelope products from W. R. MEADOWS. BEM cures to form a tough, flexible waterproofing membrane.

Hydralastic 836

Carlisle

Hydralastic 836 is a cold-applied, solvent-free, single-component waterproofing compound.

It does not shrink, has a low volatile organic compound (VOC) content, and has a very low odor. It will not crack in extreme cold or slump due to softening at high temperatures.

Barricoat-R

HRM 714 HRM 714 hot-applied rubberized asphalt membrane is a 100% solids blend of asphalts, synthetic rubber polymers, and filler formulated to provide toughness with flexibility and low moisture vapor permeance.

Mel-Rol® LM Mel-Rol® LM is a single-component, polymer-modified, cold-applied, water-based, liquid waterproofing membrane ideal for below-grade horizontal and vertical seamless waterproofing applications. We have taken the same high quality rubber polymers found in MEADOWS’ successful MEL-ROL “peel and stick” membrane, and converted them into a heavy bodied, high solids, quick drying liquid membrane.

Barricoat-R is a roller-applied, water-based, asphalt emulsion modified with a blend of synthetic rubbers and special additives, which cures to form a flexible, monolithic, waterproofing membrane on vertical surfaces, above or below grade. The membrane has excellent adhesion to concrete substrates preventing lateral water migration.

CCW-525 CCW-525 is a liquid-applied, singlecomponent, moisture-cured, elastomeric modified polyurethane that cures to form a flexible, monolithic, waterproof membrane on vertical or horizontal surfaces below grade.

The membrane has tenacious adhesion to concrete substrates preventing lateral water migration. The inherent toughness and resilience of CCW-525 Membrane enables it to bridge structural or shrinkage cracks which may develop in the substrate.

MiraSEAL

SEALMASTIC Emulsion

MiraSEAL is a 100%-solids, fluid-applied, single-component, moisture-reacted, elastomeric, coal-tar and solvent-free, modified polymer that cures to form a flexible, monolithic, waterproof membrane on vertical and horizontal surfaces.

SEALMASTIC emulsion-type dampproofing is a breather-type which permits moisture vapor to escape through the film, while remaining resistant to water penetration. This prevents blistering of applied films. The product can be applied to green concrete (not totally dry).

ABOVE GRADE DAMPROOFING:

SEALMASTIC TYPE I (spray-grade) is an asphalt-based, non-fibered, clay emulsion.

Under normal use, it resists flow or sag.

Its greater resistance to water is ideal where spray application is desired.

W. R. MEADOWS SEALMASTIC Solvent SEALMASTIC solvent-type dampproofing is an asbestos-free, fibered and non-fibered asphalt compound. Both the brush-on and trowel-applied versions are flexible and will span small holes and hairline cracks.

All three grades withstand temperature changes and will not crack under normal expansion and contraction.

The three types offered are SPRAY-MASTIC™, a non-fibered asphalt compound for use where spray application is desired; SEMI-MASTIC™, a brush or spray-on fibered asphalt compound designed to protect exterior below-grade masonry walls; and TROWEL-MASTIC™, a trowel-applied, heavy-bodied, fibered asphalt compound for exterior, below-grade masonry wall surface applications. It is recommended to protect porous or irregular surfaces.

SEALMASTIC TYPE II (brush-on/spray-grade) is an asphalt-based, clay emulsion with fibers specifically formulated to offer a tight film that combines both excellent strength and resistance to water.

AIR-SHIELD THRU-WALL FLASHING AIR-SHIELD THRU-WALL FLASHING is a self-adhering, flexible membrane flashing.

It is a roll-type product that is nominally 40 mils thick. This material is an air, vapor, and liquid moisture barrier.

Baracade WB ORS Baracade WB ORS is an oil resistant, water-based siloxane formulation. Baracade WB ORS produces a breathable, UV stable, water repellent barrier on the substrate.

Baracade WB ORS also imparts oil resistance properties because of the oleophobic fluoropolymer resins in the formulation.
