And so in the words of founder Sonam Sherpa, the Thamserku Company was born. As guides and adventurers, husband and wife team Sonam and Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, (the first Nepali woman to summit Mount Everest in 1992 and a national icon) spent many years exploring the Himalaya’s and setting the gold standards in

Annapurna Spectacular Annapura Region is Nepal’s most popular trekking destination for the beginners and the gateway to this beautiful range is the City of Lakes & Mountains ‘POKHARA’.

Guardians of the Himalaya As Sherpa people we take seriously our role as ‘guardians of the Himalaya’ whilst contributing to the responsible development of mountain adventure in Nepal. We ensure that all our treks cause minimal environmental impact, that we act respectfully towards the local culture and wherever possible make sure the local community shares the benefits of trekking and tourism. Likewise, we hire local guides to accompany you; this not only gives our clients deep insights and connections to the places they trek through, but also contributes towards employment and economic benefit in the region.

Thamserku also supports sustainable development in remote mountain communities. We do this through direct

donation for projects such as mini hydroelectricity schemes and safe water projects.

Our future projects involve sustainable development for Khumbu communities.

Under this scheme, a proportion of our profit will go back into the community to support children’s schooling and a range of other projects we develop together.

Perhaps our largest contribution goes to the Pasang Lhamu Mountaineering Foundation established in 1993. Pasang Lhamu Sherpa was the first woman to summit Mount Everest although tragically she died on the descent. PLMF supports child education, vocational trainings for women, Lukla hospital, Tree plantation, Peak cleaning and pollution control and many others.

Air Dynasty is the oldest among few operators of light helicopter and the operator of Ecureuil Helicopters in private aviation in Nepal. These helicopters are certified to fly up to 20,000 feet AMSL.
