BRUSH-KART TM HULL CLEANING EQUIPMENT
ADVANTAGES
Effectiveness in cleaning

• Piccard BRUSH-KARTTM has proven over the years its cleaning effectiveness from soft fouling to large barnacles. • Any vessel over 1,000 tons can be serviced in a few hours from the front to back of the ship. Quality construction

• Using quality materials with attention to detail, Piccard Divers have sold more than 220 Brush-Karts in the last 40 years. Technical support, after sales service and the offer of spare parts and consumables to Brush-Kart owners.
Easy handling & maintenance

• Easily transported by a small crane on water surface. • Essential consumables and spare parts are available for fast delivery. Diver and vessel safety

• In water, a diver can maneuver the Brush-Kart with minimal effort and he can adjust its speed according to the fouling with the main valve. • By using the appropriate brushes according to the fouling, no damages to the vessels paint coat are inspected. Immediate cleaning attendance

• Due to the diver's presence on the spot, he can immediately check on the cleaning process and adjust his actions accordingly even in waters with poor visibility.
Experience

• Existing in the global maritime field for almost 40 years, Piccard Divers has acquired a vast experience gaining technical, manufacturing and business expertise of the Piccard Brush-KartTM Underwater Hull Cleaning equipment.

BRUSH-KART TM HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The BRUSH-KART underwater hull cleaning and propeller polisher equipment is a hydraulic system which contains the following parts:
A. BRUSH-KART triple head (with three brushes) & Propeller Polish head (with one brush)
B. Power Pack
C. High & low pressure hoses for oil transportation

BRUSH-KART TM HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
A. The BRUSH-KART triple head
The Brush Kart cleans up to 3,600m2/h in stripes of 1.25m. width and up to 13 mtrs depth. The MINI BRUSH-KART triple head cleans 1,600-1,800m2/h in stripes of 0,90 mtrs. It is handled by one diver and is adhered to the ship’s hull due to the rotation of its brushes disposing neutral buoyancy.
The Propeller Polishing head has one brush and polishes the propeller blades.

The whole BRUSH-KART system has an automotive system and special rubbers in order to absorb shocks during operation.

BRUSH-KART TM HYDRAULIC SYSTEM B. Power Pack
1. Motor: 49 HP ecological 2. Pumps: one for the BRUSH-KART / one for the Polish head 3. Air compressor for the air in the tank as well as for the diver’s (operator) breath 4. Oil tank: the oil moves from the oil tank to the BK triple head and to the polish head through the high pressure hoses in order to clean the hull of the vessel. There are several manometers and switches for the oil flow and pressure on the switchboard. 5. On the skid, there is a davit for lowering and lifting the triple head to and from the sea surface as well as for supporting it when idle.

C. Hoses

For the Brush-Kart:
* The two ends of hoses are connected to the side of the oil tank and the other two to BK connections.

For the Propeller Polisher:
* The two ends of hoses are connected to the side of the oil tank and the other two polish head connections.
Brush Selection
A selection of brushes are transported with the system to each job. A suitable combination of brushes can be selected and easily installed to the Brush Kart according to the variety and severity of the marine fouling.
