HELP US GROW RAMAH In the 1950s and ‘60s we sang as one voice on Friday evenings under the Etz T’fillah. Our Ramah grew, and in the 1980s the Beit K’nesset (outdoor synagogue) was built. We continued to thrive with the addition of Ramah Day Camp in 1996. This summer, thanks to the 2015 Annual Chai Campaign and your support, we’ve grown once again with the addition of Yedidim at Camp Ramah in the Poconos, a fully inclusive and integrated division for campers with special needs. Please join us in making one generous gift to the 2016 Annual Chai Campaign because an environment which instills a love of Judaism and Israel is an amazing place to grow up. Help us grow Ramah. With tremendous gratitude and wishes for a Shanah Tovah, David & Pearl (Graub) Goldstein and Joshua & Alexandra Romirowsky 2016 Annual Chai Campaign Chairs Lee Sussman, President Rabbi Joel Seltzer, Executive Director Missy Stein, Development Director

SCHOLARSHIP
75% of the $386,000 raised in the 2015 Annual Chai Campaign went directly to camper scholarships for Ramah Day Camp, Camp Ramah in the Poconos and Tikvah Family Camp.
“As I sit on my bunk bed on the first day of camp, I wanted to thank you so much for your generous scholarship. My smile all summer long will be the proof that I love it so much here. I could not have done it without your help.”

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
One of the most prominent capital improvements at Camp Ramah in the Poconos is the 3,600 square foot double bunk, Beit Yedidim. History was made this summer thanks in part to the support of our 2015 Annual Chai Campaign donors when Beit Yedidim became home to twelve campers with special needs ranging in age from 12 to 18. Not only was the physical landscape of camp transformed, but our Ramah community was also changed for the better as we fully embraced the spirit and talents of our newest campers.

INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING 36 mischlachat members from Israel were at both Ramah Day Camp and Camp Ramah in the Poconos this summer. Campers sporting blue and white boarded ‘flights’ to Israel, were led through obstacle courses and learned about high-tech Israeli companies like Waze on Yom Yisrael. By listening to and speaking Hebrew and building relationships with Israeli staff members, our campers’ connections to Israel grow deeper every year.
