Ralph Wilson Youth Club is a special place for our kids based on the special relationships that are fostered between our kids and staff.

For the past four years our kids have had the opportunity to get to know and interact with Owen Duffield. During this time Owen has gone from a newbie staff member to arguably the face of what it means to be a RWYC staff member. Owen has held positions from junior staffer, bus monitor, hall monitor and most recently staff lead and control center coordinator.

However, as is the case with many of our young staff, they become an integral part of our youth club family, only to mature and venture off to new opportunities. April 6, 2023 was Owen's last day as a youth club employee. Owen accepted a full-time job within his family's business and is starting the next phase of his life.

Ralph Wilson Youth Club recognized Owen during our monthly Boy and Girl of the Month Ceremony. In a big surprise to Owen, he was presented with a plaque for his years of service and various tokens of appreciation for his exemplary service to the kids of our community. Kids joined in a thunderous chant of 'Owen, Owen, Owen!' The spirit in which they shouted the chant speaks to his impact on kids.

Owen is now employed with CenTex Printing. If you get a chance, visit him at his new place of employment and provide him the opportunity to be of service to you.

2023 Winter Basketball League

2023 was yet another record-breaking year for the youth club’s basketball program. The program provided a memorable basketball experience for 1,208 players. These players competed in 504 games and were distributed amongst 145 teams. The league continues to be the premier opportunity for area youth ages 5-12 to learn and develop their basketball skills.
