North Carolina State University (NCSU) began in 1887 in West Raleigh as the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. The school opened its doors to students in October 1889 with a faculty of six members.
Now NCSU is an acclaimed research university with nearly 30,000 students and more then 1,500 faculty. It is a national leader in science, engineering, veterinary medicine, design, and technology.
• Depart from Anne Gordon Active Adult Center at 8:45 a.m
• Guided tour - Bell Tower, Gregg Museum, Thompson Hall, the Craft Center, University Theatre, Talley Center, Free Expression Tunnel, Reynolds Coliseum and Howling Cow Creamery
• Box lunch is included in trip price.
• Ice cream at Howling Cow is on your own
• Return to Anne Gordon Center around 4:30 p.m.

This trip has a moderate to high volume of walking expected. There may be some steps, uneven paths with loose bricks, and gravel. Patron must be able to keep to the scheduled timeline of the trip. Please remember there is no one-onone assistance provided by the escorts.
Cancellation Policy Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 14 days prior to trip departure date to receive a refund. Full or partial refunds are subject to non-refundable expenses incurred by the Department. If the Department cancels a trip, a full refund will be given. Submit withdrawal letter to Carmen Rayfield at carmen.rayfield@raleighnc.gov or in-person at any Active Adult Center.
