Advantages and Disadvantages of each presented medium
Television. Television is a powerful medium for communication, enabling the transmission of information and ideas to millions of people throughout the world. Nonetheless, there are both benefits and drawbacks to adopting television as a communication medium. Television's capacity to reach a large audience is one of its primary advantages as a communication medium. With millions of viewers tuning in to popular shows and news broadcasts, television has the capacity to rapidly and effectively disseminate information and ideas. This makes it a great venue for political campaigns, social movements, and other advocacy efforts. A further benefit of television is its capacity to transmit emotion and foster a sense of connection among viewers With the use of visuals, music, and other audiovisual elements, television can inspire strong emotions and create a feeling of shared experience for its viewers. In times of disaster, when television coverage can assist mobilize public support and promote action, this can be especially effective.
However, there are disadvantages to using television as a means of communication. One of the greatest concerns is the possibility of prejudice and information distortion. A small group of individuals or organizations may control media outlets, resulting in the propagation of some ideas or perspectives at the expense of others. In addition, the concentration on entertainment value and ratings may result in sensationalism and an overemphasis on small matters at the expense of more significant matters. The limited interaction of television as a communication medium is another downside of the medium. Television, in contrast to social media and other internet platforms, does not provide the same chances for debate and feedback. This can make it difficult for viewers to engage with content on a deeper level and can lead to detachment and disinterest (Pransanna,

Electrical Telegraph. The electrical telegraph is the early form of long-distance communication It pave way to instant communication with a wide scope of reach during the time where printing was the main medium of mass messages during the industrial age. The electrical telegraph changes the entire landscape of communication during the indutrial age. The most notable advantages of eletrical telegraph during those times is the realiability of communication it provides it was widely used in the political scene and business transactions as it is a faster way of connecting and sending messages to the other line. In addition, it was also used in warfare. In the early age smoke signals and messengers are used to send a message during the war which have its own share of disadvantages. Due to the invention of electrical telegraph, these problems were solved that changes how warfare are done during those time. In addition, electrical telegraph also creates job opportunities during the 19th century because of the fact that professionals are needed in order to sustain the telegraph network
Despite of how electrical telegraph changes the entire landscape of communication, it also have evident disadvantgaes. The most notable disadvantage of the telegraph technology is ithe lack of personal touch. The speed of sending telegraph is dependent to the size of the message and because of this telegraph are usually used to send important information. This sacrifices the "personality" of the message being sent since limited characters or limited size of the message is needed to be considered in order for a fast transmission. In additon, the accessibility of the telegraph technology is also an issues. During the 19th century, electrical telegraph was mostly used by the government or institutions that could afford or have access on it. Lastly, in order for the telegraph network to serve its purpose it needs to have an operator who has the knowledge about morse code since electrical telegraph uses morse code as a main way of communication.
