Dear Member-Guest Participant, Welcome to the 2021 Member-Guest Tournament. We are excited to have so many returning and new players for this years tournament. This year’s tournament will have three days of great golf and food culminating with a return of the big dinner and dance on Saturday evening. In this booklet you will find the schedule for the weekend, flight information, and starting holes for the various shotguns. Saturday 2nd Wave

Member-Guest Championship Special Event Entry Fee: $200 per team | Moneys will be divided as follows: The Flight Pool: $180.00 | Super Pot: $20.00

Flight Pool Teams should be purchased Thursday at registration. Please see the Member-Guest Committee members (Zach Hall, Tom Cavanaugh). You are competing within your own flight. Money will be divided as follows: 1st Place 50% of the pool and 2nd Place 30% of the pool. Amounts will be approximate for ease of splitting. To keep everyone playing hard on Saturday, the final 20% of the pool will go to the team that doesn’t finish 1st or 2nd in their flight and scores the most points for Saturday’s matches only. In case of a tie for 1st place the tie breaker will be the results of a head to head match. If a winner is still not determined, a match of cards starting at the last hole played will decide the winner. The same tie breaker will be used in ties for Saturday’s 20%. The payoff in each flight will be as follows, based on the number of teams participating in the pool. Super Pot Overall Winners Flight winners will compete for the overall Championship with a 3 hole shoot out, those being holes 1-17-18. The 3 teams with the lowest score in the shoot-out will share in Super Pot. In case of ties, the teams will compete in a Sudden Death playoff to determine the winner.

The Super Pot will be divided as follows: (approximate) 1st: 50% 2nd: 30% 3rd: 20%

The Member/Guest Committee will decide all disputes at its own discretion.

Member-Guest Championship Rules of Play Rules Committee: Jim Troutman, Kris Cappuzzo, Luis DeJesus, Brian Talley, Tyler Lucas, Cory Bernsdorf

Format: Nine Hole Round Robin Match Play. Teams are Flighted by combined handicap index into flights of six teams. You will play one nine hole match against each team in your flight. Play will be net best ball; handicap strokes are indicated on the scorecard. The team scoring the most points for five matches will be the winner of the flight. Each match will be worth ten points, one point for each hole played and one point for the overall match. If the hole is halved, each team is awarded one half point. The winner of each flight will participate in a three-hole shootout immediately following the final round matches to determine the Member-Guest Champion.

Tees: All flights will play from the WHITE tees. Participants age of 65 and up will have the option of playing from the Gold Tees. USGA Course Rating adjustments will be made to those playing the Gold Tees If a player chooses the Gold Tees, he must notify the Golf Shop by Wednesday, 6:00PM. You must play those tees throughout the entire Member-Guest.

Schedule: Please see schedule for starting holes and opponents for each round. Remember these are nine-hole matches. On the North Course, matches will be on holes 1-9 or 10-18. On the South Course, matches will be on holes 1, 2 & 12-18 or 3-11.

Member-Guest Championship Rules of Play Rules: USGA and Local Rules will apply. Play the ball as it lies. In match play, if a doubt or dispute arises between the players, a player may make a claim. If an official is not available within a reasonable time, the players must continue the match without delay and an official will make a ruling as soon as possible. To make a claim you must notify your opponent that 1) you are making a claim, 2) the facts of the situation and 3) you would like a ruling. The claim must be made before any player tees off on the next hole or in the case of the last hole of the match, before all players leave the putting green.

Trenching around mulch areas in considered Ground Under Repair. Relief is allowed from sprinkler head and drains that interfere with the line of play for balls lying on the closely mown areas within two club lengths of the green. Stones in the bunkers are deemed to be movable obstructions. Line of sight relief is granted from fans around greens. On #9 North, if the ball is lost in the clubhouse area, the spot where the ball crossed the outermost limits of the obstruction must be determined and the player may go to his nearest point of relief from that spot, no penalty. There must be reasonable evidence that the ball is lost in the obstruction.
