Raglan Club’s entertainment bill a family affair I

A  couple  of  special  days  have  been  planned,  starting  with  extraordinary  hypnotist  Nigel  Kennedy  and  outstanding  harmonica  player  Brent  Jupp  performing  on  Friday  13th  September,  starting  at  7.30  pm.   There  is  no  cover  charge  and  for  those  who  are  less  familiar  with  the  club  and  its  facilities  the  evening  gives  a  chance  to  mix  and  mingle  with  the  hundreds  of  regular  members “You’ll  be  made  to  feel  very  welcome  by  our  members  and  friendly  bar  staff,â€?  says  club  secretary/manager  Norman  Curtis. Then  on  the  next  day  a  special  Family  Fun  Open  Day,  complete  with  prizes  for  children  and  adults  alike,  kicks  off  at  11  am  and  goes  through  to  2  pm.   A  sausage  sizzle  will  help  keep  the  hunger  pangs  away  and  there  will  be  lots  of  activity  for  the  kids  as  well  as  information  available  about  joining  the  club,  which  has  been  made  a  lot  more  accessible  for  people  with  the  introduction  of  a  new  $20  subscription  per  year. “We’ve  been  really  thrilled  with  the  number  of  new  members  who  have  joined  just  in  the  past  month,  totalling  30  at  this  time.   Some  are  members  returning  from  an  absence  but  there  are  many  new  faces,  bringing  some  fresh  blood Â
