August 24, 1978: The 10-round middleweight fight between Marvin Hagler and Bennie Briscoe drew 14,930 people to the Spectrum, making it the largest indoor attendance for a non-world championship fight in Pennsylvania history.

The Spectrum November 18, 1975: Brittish Boxing News voted the Eugene ‘Cyclone’ Hart-Bennie Briscoe 10-round draw as the second best fight worldwide in 1975, behind the Thrilla in Manila between Ali and Fraizer. November 30, 1976: The 15-round split decision awarded Alfredo Escalera over South Philly’s Tyrone Everett is widely regarded as one of the worst in boxing history.
