They teamed up with Red Cross which is a charity store in Iceland great for bargain if you need something new in your closet or at home The theme was to use unsaleable garments from Red Cross and design your own collection Every year the students on 2nd year at the Icelandic School of Art show their designs and this year we LOVED IT!

The idea behind the show this year is to recycle and be sustainable and it's incredible to see the designer making something old into a new wearable collection

Fast fashion is something that we have to be fearful of and we have to think about how we can stop it The short life of textiles and fashion today is very short so it's great to see the designer at the Icelandic school of art giving new life to old clothes and materials

Our favorite designer this year was Rubina Singh and she is definitely someone you need to keep an eye on her! She focused on elegance and effortless clothing but the thing that stood out was that her collection was made from bags!!

Rubina says that bags are definitely a key item and makes a look come together Rubina says that the thing that surprised her the most about working with the old garment is that the texture of the fabric is so different than when you go and buy a new one I mean have you ever tried to make something out of your moms' closet? We think that old fabrics have better quality so you should look into that! So next year put Misbrigði on your calendar and remember the name Rubina Singh she’s going to be big in this industry!!
