RAFI Microfinance’s strategic focus for 2024 is to fix the house and rebuild its foundation. One of its major initiatives, Bugsay 3.0, was formed and kicked off last December 12, 2023, to review and browse through its processes, its people, and the systems.

The specific MATs (Management Action Teams) kicked off last January 2024 and February 8, 2024, respectively. Both MATs are currently in the Analysis and Improvement phase. The Strategy MAT, on the other hand, will begin by the end of April.

This year’s theme, “We are Women, We Empower for Change,” hopefully serves as a daily reminder that we are empowered women, and that whatever we dream can be fulfilled.

THE MONTH-LONG CELEBRATION OF WOMEN’S MONTH

This year’s Pagtuki started off talking about a MEA Awardee’s journey, along with RAFI Microfinance’s services every client can avail.

With the theme “PAG USBONG: Kaagi sa MEA Winner ug mga Serbisyo ni RAFI Microfinance”, last January’s guests were Ate Virgilia Bonghanoy -MEA Awardee under the Leader of Decent Work and Economic Growth- Mauswagon Category, along with Joni Dumasig who’s the IAS Head.

Then for the month of love, PAGTUKI talked about the importance of one’s health while keeping the business going.

With the theme “Lawas Ray Puhonan Karong Buwan sa Gugma”, last February’s guests were Ate Miraluna Comajes who was a member of the CLP Aloguinsan Cluster, along with Nurse Niña Cupin who’s also a beauty & wellness advocate.

Last February 22, 2024, Ate Ailyn Flormata (2023 MEA awardee under Leader of Industry Innovation Category), shared her inspiring story at DYMR - Radyo Pilipinas Cebu’s program Kasayuran ug Kalambuan.

RAFI MICROFINANCE (RAFI MFI) AND ABOITIZ INFRACAPITAL MOA SIGNING

RAFI Microfinance (RAFI MFI) and Aboitiz Infra Capital successfully renewed their partnership last March 12, 2024.

The MOA Signing aim to continue its mission in elevating the lives of microentrepreneurs, their family and the community. Making it an avenue of inspiration and motivation for the least, the last, and the lost.

Last March 23, 2024, the Pinamungajan and Dumanjug Cluster successfully graduated from the Clustering for Livelihood Program at RAFI Microfinance.

RAFI Microfinance’s Clustering for Livelihood Program stands as one of Tindahan Ni Nanay’s initiatives, designed to nurture and bolster clients’ businesses through a strategic clustering approach.

RAFI Microfinance hosted the February MCPI BOT (Board of Trustees) meeting on February 20, where the BOT had the opportunity to interact with members of the RAFI Microfinance ManCom. RAFI MFI COO Jonar Dorado serves on the board as the internal auditor.

They also enjoyed a quick tour of the Casa Gorordo Museum (CGM), which offers a unique blend of cultural heritage and digital experiences.

Residents and members of Lepantohanong Hugpong sa Kalamboan (LEHUK) in Proper Lepanto, Barangay Lepanto, Alegria in Southern Cebu now have access to clean, potable water.

A Water Refilling Station was turned over to its beneficiary, LEHUK Association last December 21, 2023, through the partnership of the Feed the Children Foundation Inc. (FTPCI) - the grantor, Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) and RAFI Microfinance.
