MINI GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN SAGRADA FAMILIA, BOGTONG Let’s take a trip down memory lane to a special day, September 16, 2023, at the beautiful Sagrada Familia in Bogtong, Albay. On that day, the Mini General Assembly gathered all the great individuals from the thriving Albay community. After more than three years of waiting, our General Assembly returned with a bang.

This assembly held immense significance for the people of Albay. As locals gathered, excitement spread from the happy Sagrada Familia environment. The mood was cheerful as familiar faces reunited, new connections were formed, and a strong sense of community embraced everyone.
MORE THAN JUST AN EVENT
The Mini General Assembly in Albay made a successful comeback, and our dedicated individuals and community leaders were delighted.
It was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the community of Albay’s unity, development, and shared experiences.
MOA SIGNING
• RAFI MFI X AIFI The RAFI Microfinance (RAFI-MFI) and Asia Impact Foundation Inc. (AIFI) had their MOA signing last September 19, 2023. To continue their mission in elevating the lives of microentrepreneurs and uphold the dignity of man — RAFI MFI partnered with AIFI who have the same vision as them. This partnership can help expand their reach to be of service to the marginalized and provide long-term solutions.
Terry Alan Farris of AIFI agrees and shared “Asia Impact Foundation Inc. (AIFI) vision is to support the ecosystem for social entrepreneurs across Asia. The partnership with RAFI MFI will provide a catalyst to showcase and recognize women social entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact here in the Philippines.” RAFI Microfinance and Asia Impact Foundation Inc. (AIFI) are now working together to promote the mission and vision of both organizations. Clients, their families, and the community can look forward to more partnerships like this where hopes and dreams are fulfilled.
OTHER MOA SIGNINGS • RAFI MFI X ASU X QNAS In a remarkable turn of events, the academe RAFI MFI x ASU x QNAS have come together in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony that holds the potential to bring significant positive changes to communities. At the heart of this partnership is the Sustainable Livelihood Training Program, a creative effort that seeks to provide services and build the capacities of target communities, especially to our clients that belong to the areas of South Luzon and Panay. The program offers opportunities to potential entrepreneurs in the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME), thereby fostering economic growth and self – sufficiency. As this collaboration sets sail, it carries with it the hopes and aspirations of many people. • RAFI MFI X HSSI – SUN KING SOLAR KIT AWARDING CEREMONY On September 20, 2023, we witnessed the Solar Kit Awarding Ceremony of our RAFI MFI clients. This program was initiated by RAFI MFI in collaboration with Hybrid Social Solution Inc. (HSSI) and Sun King Incorporated. The solar kits distributed through this program are a source of hope for RAFI MFI clients. Comprising a comprehensive set of equipment and tools, these kits enable us to capture, store, and distribute electricity. The RAFI MFI Solar Kit Program is just the start of a journey for communities toward a more empowered and sustainable future. With the support and dedication of organizations like RAFI MFI, HSSI, and Sun King Inc., we are confident that these solar kits will continue to light the way to a better quality of life, improved educational opportunities, and enhanced emergency preparedness for countless families.

With the recent establishment of six new branches across the Philippines, RAFI Micro-Finance, Inc. (RAFI MFI) is significantly advancing their impact in the country. We’ve participated in fairs like the Hudyaka Festival on Juan Luna Street, the Sandurot Festival in Dumaguete City, and the Abuyog Trade Fair in Abuyog Leyte, where we’ve shown a variety of goods and services that gives us a chance to socialize with the locals.

PAGTUKI: NOURISHING MINDS, STRENTHENING COMMUNITIES Pagtuki is a monthly segment that discusses various informative topics, offers helpful advice and encourages personal growth. Pagtuki serves as a reminder that knowledge can empower us to overcome challenges and build a more promising future.
During the month of September, our focus was on an essential topic, ‘Gahum sa Manunudlo,’ which recognizes the significance of teachers in shaping our future. This topic pays tribute to the dedication and influence educators have on our society, highlighting their vital role in raising and educating the next generation. The guests for the September Pagtuki were Ms. Joe-Annely Ynot Bucog and Ms. Maria Rizza D. Labao, a manager of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation’s education management program. These guests came from various fields of expertise, carefully selected for their knowledge and unique viewpoints to provide a balanced and thorough understanding of the significant role of teachers in shaping our future.
In the previous months, especially in July, we explored ‘Health and Nutrition: Fuel for Wellbeing,’ with the goal of promoting healthier lifestyles.
In August, our attention shifted to ‘Disaster Resilience and Readiness,' emphasizing the importance of preparedness for unforeseen challenges. Each month brings fresh perspectives, enriching our lives and fostering community development.
