DIGITAL EMPOWERMENT FOR MICROENTREPRENEURS

The KaagAPPay (K-App) mobile application, developed by RAFI Microfinance (RAFI MFI), received the prestigious Philippines Technology Excellence Award for Fintech - Financial Services at the Asian Tech Excellence Awards, held on September 5, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand.

KAAGAPPAY APP WINS AT THE ASIAN TECH EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Launched in 2022, K-App was created by RAFI MFI to offer clients a more convenient and paperless way to manage savings and transactions.

The app allows users to access loans, savings, and other financial services with ease.

RAFI Microfinance (RAFI MFI) proudly showcased its booth on September 13, 2024, during Partners’ Night, celebrating its remarkable journey in uplifting and empowering Filipino micro-entrepreneurs while promoting sustainable livelihoods.

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) hosted Partners’ Day to reflect on past achievements and envision future possibilities in pursuit of their shared vision.

The event recognized the collaborative successes of both RAFI and RAFI MFI, highlighting the significant impact made with the support of their dedicated partners.

RAFI MFI has forged a powerful alliance with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region VII through a Memorandum of Agreement for a Grants-In-Aid (GIA) project focused on advancing Science and Technology Interventions for Individually Curated Products. This strategic partnership is designed to boost the reach and impact of key initiatives, specifically enhancing the “Tindahan Ni Nanay” and “The Learning Hub” programs. By harnessing innovative solutions, this collaboration aims to empower our microentrepreneurs and elevate the quality of their products.

MANCOM’S STRATEGIC VISIONING

The ManCom members gathered for Blue Sky Thinking, a strategic visioning session aimed at shaping RAFI Microfinance’s 2030 roadmap. The focus was on realigning and elevating the organization’s commitment to “Kaagapay Mo”, while deepening the leaders’ understanding of their Gallup strengths—insights they can leverage to inspire and drive impact across the institution. In addition, leaders took time to visit selected branches in Bohol, connecting personally with staff, listening to their feedback, and ensuring that employees’ voices and experiences are integral to the organization’s evolving vision, as they continue to bring clients’ dreams to life.

CEDS CENTER OFFICERS’ ASSEMBLY

August to September 2024

The Center Officers’ Assembly, held from August to September, was an initiative by The Learning Hub aimed at bringing together Center Officers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The goal was to share updates on both the financial and non-financial services offered by RAFI Microfinance (RAFI MFI)

The assembly emphasized the crucial role that Center Officers play in ensuring effective community engagement and development within RAFI MFI. It also provided participants with valuable information on the latest loan products and operational updates.

A session on Business Name Registration and DTI requirements equipped Center Officers with the knowledge to better support their clients’ entrepreneurial endeavors, while updates from Branch Supervisors reaffirmed RAFI MFI’s commitment to addressing the evolving needs of its clients.

The Brand Development Group has continued embarking on a humbling Brand Cascade across 80 branches in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao this 3rd quarter, aligning our branch staff with RAFI Microfinance’s Kaagapay Mo brand essence and mission to elevate lives while enhancing our brand recognition. This strategic initiative is more than just branding; it aims to cultivate a genuine and consistent presence that resonates with both current and prospective clients, deepening our connections within the communities we serve.
