Many dental patients often wonder about the best way to plan a dental makeover.

Firstly, attention should be directed at getting all teeth and gums into a healthy state. This is done in consideration with the overall health and well-being of the patient. Gum disease, if present, must be brought under control with improved oral hygiene. A hygienist can advise on the best way to achieve this. Teeth that need removal are usually extracted at this stage. There may be a need to have a temporary denture or bridge until such time as the mouth is ready to have the permanent treatment plan carried out. There are many different methods to restore function and good aesthetics.

If teeth are to be whitened using whitening gels, it is prudent to do this early on during the treatment plan. This will mean that the colours of crowns, bridges or implants can blend in with the improved colour status of your teeth.

The best treatment plans are ones that will give the patient a dentition that can easily be maintained in good health. As always ask your dentist and hygienist about your treatment options.

In this months wedding feature I will be helping all ou brides to be with prep for your upcoming wedding and with what to ask makeup artists when choosing one for your wedding

Doing your research is so important for your wedding day look and your makeup will be such a big part of it! You should research looks that you like and have them ready for your makeup artist for your trial

The next thing I would reccomend would be skin prep and a course of facials You should be looking to start your facials at least 6 months before your wedding Some great options would be microneedling, microdermbrasion or a course of peels Drink plenty of water on the lead up also as this will keep your skin hydrated and looking fresh.
