INTRODUCTION Christian Norberg Shulz in his book The genius loci or better known as reading the site, it is possible to interpret it by moving away from an understanding of the idea subtracted from a time ago, specifically from the time of ancient Rome. His Idea was based on the approach in which each space had a unique character where they had spirits dwelling in the place varied by the relationships that were maintained with them in that space. The well-known architect Chistian Norberg Shulz some time later subtracts this idea or concept to take it to his ideas and see how to make society understand how and why people join physically and spiritually to a certain place, where there are spaces that were obtained due to a transition of low significance towards a space of greater significance in which they would later be called by anthropologists as 'anthropological places'. which means the study of all aspects of human nature that can be identified Christian Norberg Shulz makes a critique of anthropology and how it relates spatially to space where more emphasis and attention has been placed on physical space as part of the focus on visualizing the physical space as a fundamental part of the human being in which it lives or develops, making it known as a reflection that the human being is based on a specific space and time.

Norberg Schulz considers in the book that “places are points where we experience various events that are linked to our existence, but they are also starting points from which we orient ourselves and we relate to the environment of context. However, the existence and possession of a place is conditioned by the delimitation of the same space, being that “the places are naturally, physically and mentally limit.

in the world and understand phenomena that influence it directly and indirectly in cities, in addition to understanding them as an important stage of architecture. For example, one of the writings with the most important contributions is a method of phenomenological analysis of cities that he described in Genius Loci (1979 and 1980), which allowed us to analyze cities from a more neutral point of view. Other important texts are the Norwegian vernacular architecture that were included in modern architecture texts such as his book Modern Norwegian Architecture (1986), which denotes to some extent disagreeing with his adherence to the CIAM and the cult of the Modern Movement. Finally, Chistian is positioned as one of the most important toric architects of the time who, despite presenting a great influence of modern architecture, did not leave behind his roots and rescued them by making them known in the world.

GENIUS LOCI The spirit of the place encompasses an approach to the Phenomenology of the investigation of the psychic relations of architecture, instead of the practical side, where the space tried to satisfy the demands of a new sense of inhabiting in relation to Heidegger's philosophy. additionally Architecture tries to be visual and the architect's reason is to create a place, by which he helps man to inhabit. The place is established by its own space in which it is made up of a different character. Since ancient times the genius loci, or the "spirit of the place", has been organized as the concrete need that has to be faced and give way to the daily life of the human being. at the same time Modern Norwegian Architecture (1986) and in numerous documents he developed a method of phenomenological analysis of cities. Interestingly, he wrote about the architecture of his homeland, emphasizing the values of traditional construction, the use of local materials, and the virtues of vernacular architecture, which would appear to be at odds with his adherence to CIAM and the cult of the Modern Movement. in summary It is about generating an understanding between basic relationships between man and his environment in order to overcome abstract and scientific theory to add the existential space of architecture in its own context.

Both architecture and society show their capacity to lose and recover place

PLACE

KHARTOUM It is not determined by its geography and its landscape where the city does not have an architectural heritage such as monuments in which the visitor obtains a persistence of the spaces

NATURAL PLACE

Genius Loci

In the form of a travel mode the author presents characteristics of identity and unique characters about the cities

The place consists of several elements such as flowers, animals, trees, stones, earth, water, streets and houses, where the place starts from an integral identity of existence, being more than an abstraction of the locality

Tells us that to understand the structure is divided into 2 modes The elements configure the space as they are primary elements based on rocks, vegetation and water where they make a significant or sacred

PAGE

This theoretical section emphasizes the existential space and the spirit of the place

ROME

Refers to the eternal city where it puts us as a point of view that the city tells us more about the history in which it is preserved as the identity of the place

MAN-MADE PLACE

PLACE

The relationship that humans have in places is the presence that it generates in the limits of a space where the importance of culture is defined qualitatively different from the environment that surrounds it.

The notion of architectural space refers to the place whose production is the object of architecture

PRAGUE

PLACE TODAY

The fascination for PRAGUE resides primarily in a sense of mystery where there are deeper feelings towards objects such as the streets, the closed courtyards, the stairs where they take you inside

Various conceptions of space are incorporated into this discourse that reflect a time where relationships transcend the functional, the disciplinary and the physical
