Quarterly Volume 15

From the Editor’s Desk It gives me immense pleasure and happiness to share with you all the quarterly service news of Radio Madhuban for the third quarter of 2014. In the first place, I would like to extend my warm wishes to each one of you and wish for you a vibrant festive season full of delight and splendor. To mark the beginning of this quarter, In the month of August, Independence Day was celebrated with gusto and a proud feeling of nationalism, wherein our listeners remembered the freedom struggle of India and the formation of linguistic states in the program titled - Atulya Bharat - and documentaries were made to witness the celebrations of the local community including flag hoisting ceremony, National Anthem being sung and the like. I feel very excited to share with you that after a ten month long struggle, twenty four children, who were rag pickers, have now been admitted to schools. Our listeners dropped in messages about the piousness of the festival of Rakshabandhan and were made to understand its true meaning so that they celebrate it in the right spirit. An essay writing competition, on the topic, Vision India 2025, was organized for school children to develop writing and thinking skills in them, which received much appreciation as there was participation of three hundred and fifty students from fifteen schools. An awareness campaign on making ecofriendly Ganesha models, seeing the constant degradation taking place in our environment and need for sustainability, was undertaken by the Radio Madhuban team through

Value of the Quarter With benevolent feelings and good wishes we can free people from worrying. When we come across someone who is faced with a difficult situation because of which he is worrying, we too usually tend to think about it. Instead of helping the other person to be free from worrying, we too begin to worry. We need to develop such benevolent feelings for the one who is going through the situation that the power of our positive feelings will spread to them too. Only when there is positivity in the mind will they be able to think of some solution.
