Introduction
‘Crypto Rush’ deals with the social issue of cryptocurrency and how unregulated and unsupervised it is in modern society. The design of the board is based on the silk road- a dark web site set up to commit illicit dealings using cryptocurrency. Everything from illegal substances to forgeries to dangerous weapons and arms were available on the site.
By playing this game, you not only get an insight into the world of criminal activity, but you also get an opportunity to learn a little bit about how crypto functions. The physicality of the game makes it easier to understand this complex topic and have fun while doing it!

Choose Your Character
The Creator
Dread Pirate Roberts was the alias used by the creator of silk road. DPR is the mastermind behind the entire silk road enterprise.
The Hacker
Hacking was prominent on the silk road website. Tools and programs were sold to hack maliciously. This is called black-hat hacking.

The Con Artist
Con artists made and sold fake passports and identities on the site. They also forged government documents and produced conterfeit cash.
The Dealer
Drugs were the number one commodity on the website. Buying and selling drugs anonymously was the catalyst for the sites creation.

Game Basics
To start the game, the youngest player takes the first turn. This continues in a clockwise direction.
Players roll the dice. If they roll a number, they can move their character that many spaces around the board. All players start at the ‘start’ square on the board and continue clockwise.
At every square they land on, each player commits a crime. The crime they commit is listed on the board.

Each crime is worth various amounts of crypto rewards. These crypto rewards come in the form of tokens which players collect from the designated area in the box.
These crypto tokens that the players collect are placed within the grid in the centre of the board.
The game ends when each players grid is filled with tokens.

Don’t Get Caught!
When you roll the siren notation on the dice, you miss your turn. Instead of moving your piece, you must move the police piece 3 steps.
If the police character lands on the space of any player, this player is eliminated. Their crypto tokens are returned to the box.

How to Win
When the game ends, each player counts up the crypto rewards they have collected. The player with the highest amount is the winner.
Players must be quick and stragetic as they move around the board, commiting crimes and collecting the largest rewards at a fast pace while avoiding the law.

Board Spaces
The block tax square forces a player to return their most valuable token on their grid back to the box.
The travel square allows a player to move to any space on the board.
The sabotage square allows players to return the most valuable crypto token belonging to a player of their choosing, back to the box.
