In the heart of New York City, overseeing Roosevelt Island, our architectural vision, “CO-Habitat,” redefines urban living by fostering a symbiotic relationship between humans and anteaters. This housing project, encompassing studio, duplex, and two-bedroom units, is not just a residence but a living ecosystem.

“Cohabitat” redefines urban living by fostering a symbiotic relationship between humans and anteaters. This housing project introduces an integrated leaf mulching system within the building structure, assigning a crucial role to the building animals, so that they are active participants in the building’s ecological cycle. 1.4 Employee & Occupants

This project’s design philosophy creates a sustainable, inter-species community. By digging through leaf litter collected in the building’s abundant green areas, anteaters aid in the mulching process, accelerating decomposition and controlling insect populations naturally. The living situation provides animal watching station, creates a reverse program that animal is also watching how human occupies the space. It’s for human enjoyment and also serve as crucial habitats and functional spaces for anteates. Through this harmonious cohabitation, it aims to reshape urban living, making it more sustainbale and inclusive for all Earth’s inhabitants. Clarifies boundaries between animals and human, shows bonds between different living units. 1.7 Bio Mulching Cycle Section

This project requires closely reading and identifying what is “familiar” in the material context. Upon recognition of the “familiar”, the process of “defamiliarization” requires an act of design to recreate that condition and move the familiar into the realm of the “unfamiliar.” This can be done several ways including but not limited to reorienting perception of the familiar through unfamiliar, scale, views, materiality, application, transformations, use, hybridization, etc. Overall, this project of industrial park explores how the use of architectural fragments, cultural objects and their material qualities can be used and manipulated to highlight or question some unseen or unspoken aspect of the sites context, history and or future.

HOW TO DE

CENTER

The project is an reimagine of a commercially focused city block: block 327 located in Manhattan, into one that is also community and academic drivem in Hudson Yards. It will be offering a higher chance of successfully generating functional logevity and adaptability over its lifetime. It is the idea of the block to serve, and to be a rich canvas of overlapping trheasholds, and evetually project a powerful visual image on an urban scale, while encouraging users to discover their individual and unique relationships with it.

We must remember that activisms intersect, the voices of many are louder than the voice of one, and even though our causes may be different, together we stand more stable than on our own, just like these little pavilions.

The fungal form starts an unstabel tapered base with convenient carrying handles, and then explodes into a bulging volume, an amorphous surface to be decorated with your own messaging, your art, your critique. It is an admittedly unorthodox, picket. A sheltering form, and many aggregated together form a linked canopy, a great act of occupied space, but also of caring, healing space.

The Bregenz Festival, set against the backdrop of Lake Constance and use the nature as a living canvas, this project conceptualized and designed a unique stage that transforms with the interplay of light and time. This stage is unique in their ability to transmit and trasform light and color, breathing life into the performances.
