Congratulations graduates! Pause and look around you and absorb this moment. Think about where you have been; think of all that you have been through, the time, the hard work and the success that has brought you to this place today.
Think of those who have assisted you in this academic journey. Think of your family, significant others, parents, grandparents, children and close friends. Think of your Reading Area Community College family; teachers, advisors, friends and fellow students as you smile at the memories and conversations. Think about those private moments which will be recalled years from now.
You have arrived at a wonderful, life-changing moment. As part of RACC’s fifty-fourth graduating class, we ask you to celebrate it! Congratulations to you, a graduate of the Class of 2026. From this moment on, we will continue to be #RACCPROUD of you!

2026 president’s award
This year’s Reading Area Community College President’s Award recipient is the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU), recognized for its longstanding commitment to educational excellence and its strong, collaborative partnership with the College.
For decades, the BCIU has served as a cornerstone of educational support across Berks County, working alongside schools, educators, and community organizations to deliver innovative programs and services that respond to the evolving needs of students. Its work spans the full educational continuum—from early childhood education and specialized student services to professional learning for educators and workforce development initiatives—ensuring that learners of all backgrounds have access to meaningful opportunities for growth and success.
Central to this recognition is the meaningful and sustained partnership between the BCIU and RACC. Together, the two institutions have created clear and accessible pathways that support students in transitioning from secondary education to college and careers. Collaborative efforts have included dual enrollment opportunities that allow high school students to earn college credits, alignment of career and technical education programs, and workforce initiatives that prepare students for high-demand careers within the regional economy.
Through this shared commitment, the BCIU and RACC have helped create a more seamless educational experience for learners, expanding access, strengthening outcomes, and opening doors to postsecondary success.
The President’s Award honors organizations and leaders whose work reflects collaboration, shared purpose, and a dedication to expanding opportunity. The BCIU exemplifies these values through its leadership, impact, and its ongoing partnership with the Reading Area Community College.
