D’Amore-McKim STEM Degrees STEM DESIGNATION BONUS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS For international students, STEM designation offers an additional advantage.

When you complete your program, you may become eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), which, if granted, allows you to work in the United States for up to 12 months. And because you’re graduating with a STEM degree, you may become eligible to apply for a 24-month extension—for a total of 36 months of temporary U.S. employment.
