HELLO My name is Rajashree. I am 2020 Graduate from Boston Architectural College. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture obtained at Dr. BNCA Pune University, India. Additionally, I have working experience in few reputed firms which helped me to build up my work skills.

I am a self motivated person and has dared to dream big and believe in myself if I would like to be successful. In my experience, I quickly learn that creation and imagination are powerful skills to be successful in this design profession.

Academic SITE ANALYSIS

The site analysis conducted throughout the project helped to study the present scenario of the site and the neighbouring parts of the boston which may be important in designing the site.

The given site is a parking garage located on Newbury Street Boston which can be put to good use The site has access from both sides , one from the Dartmouth and other from Newbury Street.

Use of brick facade is widely seen in and around the site. The site is located with good views which can be the considered as a main focus.

The Lincoln School project is a comprehensive renovation of the existing school campus at 6 Ballfi eld Road, serving the Pre-K to 8th student body in the Town of Lincoln.

The Lincoln School Building Committee was created in May 2017 and consists of representatives of the school administration, various town committees and at-large community members. The committee selected a partnership of SMMA and Ewing Cole Architects as the project design team for the renovation and redesign of the existing K-8 school. In June, the Town voted to move forward with plans for a $93.9M project concept that aims to meet those values. On December 1st, the Town approved the funding that will allow the project to begin.

The process started from reseach of standard sizes of furniture and multiple iterations.

Based on standard dimensions , confortable resting angles, can accomodate 2, 3 people few iterations of furniture modules were designed.

GATEWAY PROJECT RENNOVATION, REDESIGN AND PROBLEM SOLVING FALL SEMESTER 2018 REVIT, AUTOCAD, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP, MICROSOFT EXCEL , INDESIGN SITE NOTES

Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC) responds to community needs by delivering holistic,family-centered, and culturally competent programs. Founded in 1969, BCNC is the largest nonprofit social service provider for Asian American and Asian immigrant families in the Greater Boston area – supporting over 2000 children, youth, and adults each year at three locations in Boston and Quincy.

BCNC’s facility at Ash Street in Chinatown houses a variety of programs, administrative offices, and community and educational services. As times change, programs evolve, shrink, and grow- often in direct contest with inflexible spaces in the building. Reconsidering the complexities of space planning,programming, and building systems may provide BCNC with a clearer road map for the future and a more effective means to satisfy its unique mission.Working with staff, families, and constituent groups affiliated with BCNC, students in this Gateway project will develop recommendations for better spatial and programmatic alignments. Through analysis, feasibility studies, drawing, documentation, and diagramming, students will help BCNC to understand their specific spatial constraints and opportunities as they pursue options for future modifications.
